Actually this is wrong, Canelo only fought GGG the first time because the ordeal was dragging his bottom line. Smith fight bombed acvording to Canelo standards. They did get Chevez to sell but fans were pissed and they knew it so they announced GGG.

Canelo took more hits with this dirty test stuff, and if he refuses to fight GGG over a deal that everyone with a brain knows GGG deserves more for, since he was robbed both fights, it’s Canelo who will take a hit.

He’ll make money, but how many spikes before he’ll have to get sparked by a Charlo.

Canelo career will always be tainted meat, but this looks as smart of a move as dip **** aboutfkingtime.

      Good riddance.

Now, let's see these guys mix it up with the rest of the division. Both should fight live opponents next. No more soft touches.

Say no to Spike or Vanes types.

Who exactly does this author expect to fork over cash to see canelo fight spike on ppv? I understand that casuals are gullible, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Lol Spike's name is just randomly tossed on top of the pile as if he belongs. If Canelo picks him that's just as bad as GGG fighting Vanes. and if Canelo fans support and buy PPV's from a Spike fight they really are suckers.

What are you talking about the ggg fight was already signed before canelo even fought Chavez aka ggg's dream fight and Mexicans were wanting canelo vs Chavez since they're rivalry started when canelo was like 17.fans were disappointed because Chavez **** his pants and didn't fight as for the Liam fight it was over 300k way more than any ggg ppv and they made money since canelo doesn't have a ridiculous guarantee like mayweather did

The only thing salient about that article was the author’s comparison of Dela Hoya to Mayweather. Oscar is definitely following Floyd’s playbook. Wait for the threat to age and then when the fans won’t tolerate the nonsense anymore fight him. I suspect Spike’s name surfaced because Saunders or Jacobs would both compromise Canelo’s tarnished comeback by beating him.

Alvarez does not owe GGG a payday. True to form, Golovkin, his team and cheerleaders are going to whine and complain about how "GGG was done wrong." The same playbook they have been using for the last 3 years. Golovkin has mandatory obligations that he should deal with. Rather than defend his titles, he chooses to rob those fighters of their opportunities to win a championship and instead pursue a Canelo fight strictly for money. Afterall, Canelo is neither a mandatory nor does he have any titles.

The next step in their playbook is to trot out that whiny idiot Abel Sanchez and the cheerleaders to blather on and make ****** and irrelevant remarks.

I find it funny when fools like you say Mayweather waited for Manny Pacquiao to get old to fight him....
You do know Mayweather is almost two years older than Pacquiao right??

The difference with Floyd is that Floyd was older than Pacquiao, so while he let Pacquioa get old, he was getting even older! Canelo can wait 2 years from now and still be in his prime, GGG won't be!
