Comments Thread For: Joshua, Hearn Stand Firm: Wilder Fight Must Be in The UK

IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs), and his promoter Eddie Hearn, are standing firm with their position that a unification with WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) takes place on UK soil.

I don't see why this is such a big deal for Wilder.

After all, save one belt, he brings nothing to the table. Sure, he may be the real deal and a future HW force, but his resume, as it is, is trash and his last performance was hardly inspiring.

Perhaps he's afraid of being overawed?

If he brings nothing to the table, why did his offer pay Joshua nearly twice as much as Joshua’s offer paid to himself?

              Exactly.

Given his recent showings, he needs to suck it up and travel to the UK.

Sorry, America, the UK is better site for the (first) fight.

It’s not a big deal. But wilders 50 mil offer to aj only happens if it’s in America. So Hearn better offer wilder more than just a flat fee

He already said he’d fight in the uk. But not for a flat fee

So they want them to put up the money but still demand the location?? How does that work?
