    Really young.

This hypothetical questions become more of an argument over hypothesis than logic .

Let's put it this way, he abandoned Wing Chun b.c it FAILED HIM. So, he trained in striking a lot more after that .
But, he was still nowhere near a good AMATEUR boxer's hitting skills .
He led with his right hand even though he was a righty.
His left hand was very undeveloped
    .
that's because he was training himself with no real boxing knowledge. you think floyd would be floyd if he trained himself as a kid and didnt have his father or uncle around teaching him the basics?

that's why i said with some training, bruce would do ok since he has the fighting mentality already.

and for the bolded part --

i cant prove that, what i can say is that, if you watch some of his training clips, he is always putting his body in some type of pain. doing crazy stretch for long period of time, etc. so basing off this, i would have no doubt that he can take punishment and pain.

if you look at his training, its not light work. he's always trying to push himself. this is not the mindset of a person who is afraid to take punishment.
Not according to Bill Superfoot Wallace.
Lee had a skinny long neck and skinny legs .

He was still an ectomorph . He would have been a really skinny featherweight .
He weighed some 135 but would have probably fought at 126.
He would have been like Tommy Hearns and Roger Mayweather .
Long arms and skinny legs . Lee was 1/4 German, so his arms were abnormally long for a Chinese dude .
Grew beard like a white man .

I don't think his frame was built for punishment.

Lee became a superstar in the infancy of martial arts .
We know now, those karate dudes back then were nowhere near as good as they thought they were.
That includes Chuck Norris and company.
MMA pretty much proved that b/c people started fighting full contact .
The only one that really stood out was Joe Lewis .

He won some karate tournaments in the US and 2 golden gloves from hong kong

Sure, he could have at a certain level.

He did work with two amateur boxers . They were his pupils. Dan Inosanto and Demille .
Lee was actually terrible in hitting the bag.
          Just horrible.
That shows he did not have much shoulder strength to me .
Punches from the hip . No snap. Not much hip and leg support .
And that's an over the counter bag .

I don't think he would have been a decent amateur boxer even.

HE HAD ONE BOXING match. He did beat a British Kid.
That was when he was 12 or 13 yrs old .

He practiced Wing Chun and Kung Fu.
Later dumped them for JKD b/c he found out they were close to being worthles

you just describe half of the boxers with that post.

so now you dont think his frame was built for punishment? base on what?

i explained to you why i think he would take punishment well from his training clips.

the rest of the stuff you posted, i have no idea what you're trying to get across. i never said bruce was the greatest martial artistist. im explaining to you that bruce has a fighting mentality. fighting is in him, so with some proper boxing training, he'll do well.

He ran everyday and used a bicycle everyday too. No reason to think his stamina would be bad

that right there shows you that he aint no fool. he tried it and found out it wasnt gonna work so he switch to something that would. this is why i keep repeating that he has the fighting spirit in him so with proper training, he could have done well in boxing.

                    More hypotheticals.
I can argue Stallone would have been a good boxer too if I keep at it .

Lee kept training in boxing b/c he incorporated it in JKD. And after admiring Casius Clay.
The video shows he was a crappy boxer .
