I think it's a little light on starpower, though. Where are they going to stage these fights, these guys are not the biggest draws? I wonder if they could tempt someone from lightweight to move up and help round it out.
The only names in the previous series were Groves and Eubank, I don't think it needs big names. The best fights were at CW with no stars.

I think he would. I read somewhere that the prize money for the winner of each tournament is huge. I think that's why Callum Smith was fine not going the WBC route and went the WBSS route.

Being the B side in Fresno or The Forum against Ramirez for like $500k won't pay as much as what two dates let alone winning this thing would. He'd also at least win a title in this tournament too.

I just hope it doesn't leave Ramirez feasting on Zurdo level of opposition. All buzz I had for Zurdo has been killed and had he entered WBSS he'd likely be in the final now.

Shame about Ramirez not entering, but if we get those 4 plus Taylor, Flanagan, Lipnets and Indongo. It’ll be a damn good tournament
Hell no...no Indongo...he just got Brutally KO'd by Prograis, he's done

I forgot Callum Smith gave up his mandatory shot to enter. I guess you go where the money is.

50/50 chance here, WBSS or fight Ramirez for the WBC? he'd make more in the WBSS for sure.

It benefits Cyclone in the long run if Taylor won..... I don't rate Ramirez that highly and think Taylor wins that easily, and if Flanagan enters that's a good British clash....

not sure if Taylor could win a world title and keep his position with the WBC or his silver title?

Huck sells out in Germany, Bredis drew 12k in Latvia, Gassiev had a raucas crowd in Russia and Usyk always draws a nice crowd in Kiev.

I'm not seeing anyone on the above list who can credibly draw 10,000 people. It would be shit if the competition was mostly contested in front of 1500 disinterested people at some casino.

WBC put a Diamond belt into the 168 tournament, winner is mandatory to Benavidez. I assume theyll do the same again, with Prograis being interim Champion, theyll wanna see a slice of the action.

                Flanagan-Maybe Catterall ?
                Baranchyk-Yigit

Also wouldnt mind Lipinets in here...and Orozco...Figueroa. Guys like that
Yes to Lipinets. He's a dependable fighter who'll most likely show up come fight night.

But I won't want Orozco and Figueroa in the tournament. They're way too unreliable and probably cause delays in the tournament. And both have a history of not being in shape and pulling out of fights at the last minute.

Id imagine Baranchyk or Relikh could sell out an arena in Belarus, what the hell happens there? Troyanovsky in Russia. Theyll go wherever can pull a bigger crowd. Youd think Taylor/Flanagan would do well at the Hydro

I think the fact that they were all world title fights helped and were in places not used to big title fights.... none of these guys had sold much tickets before their title wins and before the WBSS tournament, which was promoted well in each country.

I agree though, which is why they need Taylor, he's fighting at the 10k Hydro next and is getting a name in his home country at least.... he'd sell that out for a WBSS fight if he can do it for Postol in an eliminator.

I didn't know Yildirim had so many fans in Germany before the WBSS, might be similar guys in this that can attract thousands of fans to a place that is not used to big events.

Is there a video or interview where this all gets talked about?

I didn't know I was so out of the loop about the 140 tournament. Respect to Regis for entering. Shame on Ramirez for not entering. I still say Arum won't be down for his guys getting in this thing so maybe Ramirez's hands were tied idk, but ultimately he's his own man & he looks like a giant f#cking ***** in my eyes for not jumping in this thing.
