True, but Canelo's power (and speed/skills) kept GGG from just diving in on him. He had to be cautious and try to pick his spots.

because guys like nelo are a different breed than these vanes types.....yet 3g fans are going bonkers !

They fought him really differently though...and Danny is only considered a 'class guy' anyway because he went 12 with GGG.

To pull off what Jacobs/Canelo did against GGG you have to be able to 1) box well 2) move well and 3) have power. If you have all 3 of those things, and decide to box and move and very rarely engage with GGG, you can possibly go 12 rounds with him.

You will lose 19 of 22 rounds (2 ties) on the punch stats, but fighting that way is probably the smart way to fight him. They didn't try to engage with him at all. And those are two guys who have rarely if ever taken steps backwards, and have very high KO%.

And to your earlier posts, Danny was definitely hurt a few times in that fight. Besides the knockdown, he got hurt at the end of rounds 7 8 and 9. And a couple other times as well I believe.

I’m pissed about Vanes fight, but dude has a chin and I expected ggg would at time look like he couldn’t hurt. GGG fooled me, Canelo, Golden Boy, and the haters.

Look, I know it seems absurd. But if GGG skunks Jacobs, Canelo doesn’t fight him yet.

And the first Canelo fight ggg would get 20%. After taxes and everyone else’s cut, it’s not the kind if money that sets your family for life.

I thought at time GGG failed to finish Jacobs when’s there we’re clear times Jacobs was open and hittable. He didn’t go for Canelo body and looked not to want to get at him, even after taking the best shot on chin.

GGG was poised to make a lot more the 2nd fight. But I think he’s tired of it and decided to put it back in high gear.

This is why he said only 10% that Canelo fight happens, he knew after Canelo realized the power was still there he’d ball and make excuses.

If Canelo gets in, GGG will hurt him this September.

Just because he didn't knock out the 2 best MW's other than him doesn't make him ordinary. Hagler couldn't knock out Duran or Leonard. Floyd never knocked out any of his last half dozen opponents.

Did Canelo or Jacobs at any point have GGG in any trouble or hurt him? There's no doubt his power is legit, it's just hard to KO top fighters in every fight, especially if they are essentially trying to survive.

Make no mistake, if Jacobs wants to go to war with GGG, he's going out on his back.

Floyd was only known for power at lower weight classes, so no one really expected a knock out from about 140 and up, the saw brilliance in the ring, and he was still criticized after 5 weight classes, same with Leonard.

I'm not talking about them though. I am talking about how golovkin tries to pick one guy that they wouldn't even sanction, and then a mando he ducked, only to pick a semi retired JMW that lost all of his big fights, with 3 weeks notice, and completely ring rusted to the point he was getting his ass kicked by a 135 lb lomachenco in sparring (though lomachenco is 10 times better than golovkin).
