Considering the hit line up he's got ahead of him to even think about unifying I think his immediate matchups might be better than any other champion in any other weight class. Canelo, Charlo, Dereyvenchenko (although I think he's still green at the pro level), and Saunders. No matter who he fights next should he win he's gotta keep going down the list.
I guess im a usual suspect, since a local one thinks triple G should keep fighting whoever he fights...dude is about 37y.o. like Boxinggreat mentioned, enough is enough: either he fights finally those few names that left & mean something, or he can call every single opponent - real man, dangerous, furocious.

2nd what has Vane's 225k has to do with everything else, i didnt get the point? GGG being an elite got a mil for that fight, so what? the fight was a joke - so is the amount that they both made.

True, but chin is a chin. These guys combined over 26 rounds couldn’t hurt Vanes. Few honest observers thought Vanes would go down like that.

It’s long been obvious Canelo been using to make weight, he blows up so much. He even hides it now. They tested Canelo early after GGG camp requested it, they caught him cycling, that wasn’t his first.

Why does he need to move up when he has Charlo,BJS,Canelo,Andrade,Devrynchenko plus more.
The mw division is stacked at the moment.
If he can add them names to his resume does he become a hofer in your view?

While I agree that Vanes has a chin and has given some name fighters a good fight, let’s not act like this wasn’t expected. GGG is a special fighter with abnormal power. He gets judged a bit harder because he’s expected to steamroll through guys like Vanes. He’s just that good. Props to him tonight but this was expected. Hopefully he can be that aggressive with Canelo in the rematch.

GGG suddenly looks fresh and young again after looking ld and sloppy in his last 3 fights, ontop of all that, he throws combos again - 8 punch combo! Been a while we saw that. Talk about a standing still opponent who just takes it.
Something seemed off tonight. GGG truly didn’t come out with the same fearlessness against Jacobs and Canelo. Almost like there was still a payday on the line. If GGG destroys Canelo, he’d never get the huge 8 figure check.

A draw prob was best option financially. Vanes wasn’t 100%, but it’s clear that wouldn’t of mattered. GGG is leagues above where Andrade, Charlo, or Lara was when they fought Vanes.

That ggg didn’t show up for Jacobs, I get it, if it had, no Canelo fight. And the rematch, ggg was poised to make a lot more. That’s skrewed for now.

Now I get why he’s saying only 10% chance Canelo fight happens, because he just revealed to Canelo, I’m not done yet son.

Ok, maybe that’s absurd, sounds like it. But is it really?

... an educated judgement, I guess... I also think that GGG was only after a big money trilogy vs Canelo... (GGG never charged vs Canelo in their "first" fight)...

GGG didn’t come out fearless against Jacobs or Canelo because their skills alone demanded Golovkin’s respect. Golovkin is a smart fighter and knew this. No way he was going to come out crazy against them. He would have ran into some ridiculous counters.Only thing is that he gave Canelo WAY TOO MUCH respect in the beginning of their fight. I guess out of fear of getting countered to the head. But to say Golovkin did the way he did against Jacobs because he didn’t want to scare off Canelo is foolish. He still outland and dropped a much heavier man.
