Now that this farce is over, let's judge GGG on his next fight, if it's Canelo, Saunders or one of his mandatories then what will everyone have to complain about?

he is 36yo, why is his next fight the telling indicator ?

I think he will be fighting those guys, maybe not all but at least a few (assume he wins). But some of those guys shouldn't be just sitting on their ass waiting for GGG. If the Canelo fight goes down in Sept then Charlo should fight a guy like Jacobs or Derevy. There are many good fights that can be made that don't just include GGG. If we want to see the best competition in boxing we need to see multiple good fights, not just waiting around.

If we take Abel at is word it sounds like the BJ fight won't ever happen. He is asking for some ridiculous amount. Not sure, but he named everyone else as possible opponents other than Saunders.

he is 36yo..... he has done little/nothing significant within boxing..... and yet you "think" that there is a possibility that he may actually fight someone with a pulse next..... finally, at 36yo??

I think GGG gets a pass on this one . It’s not his fault Canelo failed a drug test and got suspended. It also wasn’t his fault when he was ready to fight Eubank until Eubank lost his pen. I think a lot of you are being to hard on him for picking vanes . I’m guessing he didn’t want Charlo, Andrade, Sergei as they could give him real problems and he doesnt want to ruin a potential big pay day against Canelo. I don’t think he is afraid of those guys and this was just a business decision.

Then he should drop the belts and people wouldn't care about his business decisions. The guy has never been in a 50/50 fight ever, that tells you everything you need to know about him.

It's not his fault that Canelo failed the test, but it is his fault that he is fighting people that haven't laced them up in over 2 yrs. There is no way that was a main event fight.

when Canelo selected Khan..... Golovkin said that he was disgusted, and he said that Canelo was just a businessman.....

Golovkin also made a big speech about a fighters obligation to his mandatory

so we don't get why you just gave lil'G yet another free-pass ?

Yes I agree, I was actually really hoping for this fight to be against Andrade but I guess he priced himself out of the fight. I kind of want to see a fight with Saunders the most, then maybe Charlo, I am sorry but I just don't know if the Derevyanchenko fight has a lot of marketability. Of course the cash cow is Canelo so that will most likely be next.

Derevyanchenko is mandatory. They go in order, and it is the IBF's turn and g has until August 3rd to fight him or vacate his title. g knew this. But he fought a retired jmw, so he can fight a bum with 12 pro fights next. Then he will be 37. Supposedly a p4p fighter and his 2018 will consist of a retired jmw and a prospect with 12 fights.

g is not going to rematch Canelo. At least not anytime soon.

Charlo and Andrade or a rematch with Jacobs or Canelo is better than BSJ.

None of it matters, g is back in his comfort zone fighting a retired jmw, a ww, or a guy in his first scheduled 12 rounder.

i think you are wrong. Charlo though he is untested is the real deal and I watch the way he fights, he has all the skill and the hunger to go with his power.

Only one way to find out. Charlo gets hit a lot. He is not going to go the distance if GGG keeps landing on him.

I'm not even a GGG or Canelo fan, but both of them are more skillful than Charlo and people will see once the fights happen.

The Charlo bros are getting overrated. Julian Williams was able to fight evenly against Charlo. He kept tagging Charlo with 1-2's. People just like to remember the KO, but not what was happening throughout the fight. It was an impressive stoppage, but you also have to look at the fight as a whole.

Maybe Abel doesn't like Saunders' style, plus he's a southpaw. Could that be the reason? Just saying..

that’s why we want to see what happens when the Charlo boys step up. I think they can be dominant but we will see.
