GGG was told and warned by the IBF that we refuse to sanction Vanes who is not worthy of our belt and they stated clear logical reasons why. Coming off a loss, lost 2 of his last 3, coming off 2 years lay off, never fought at 160 and would have just 3 weeks to get in shape. They told him you could be stripped if you make this fight anyway. GGG could of fought his mandatory, found a better opponent that IBF would recognize, or simply moved the date and regrouped. Instead they wanted a BS easy fight and dragged a super welterweight off the couch because they wanted a no risk fight. They knew what the result would be from the IBF and made the fight anyway trying to continue holding his belt hostage. Coward is the only way to describe this.

Yeah everyone knows this vanes fight is a non competitive tune up that isn't worthy of tv time, not to mention THE fight weekend of boxing Cinco de Mayo. And on a year when cinco de mayo actually lands on saturday. Canelo should have shown some restraint with the tacos but talk about boxing really dropping the ball. Golovkin gets to be the headline star of the sport on boxings biggest day and he shows his character. Duck the undefeated up and comer for a well known jmw scrub that doesn't have a chance at the weight and has been inactive. Vanes literally has no shot and they knew this. This is not how you headline a boxing weekend of this magnitude. Derev was their saving grace and they DUCKED him. Its almost hilarious how indefensible that is. It just shows they've lost confidence in Grolovkin. They knew if they avoided Derev it would force them to fight him instead of Canelo in September next to keep the IBF strap. I actually think Grolovkin is gonna try to swerve the Canelo rematch all together. The way they've been playing their hand recently seems to make that intention obvious. Golovkin's window to become undisputed is shrinking and they knew they probably would lose that Canelo rematch. So they have this vanes lay up, the derev defense and then they better go after bjs now because thats already a tough fight. So they gotta get these 3 fights and avoid charlo all the while. de la hoya already stated canelo will be doing daily drug testing. since they already have come out and said they will drug test then it doesn't seem like that will be an issue. canelo passed the hair follicle test so we just know that canelo just ate mexican tacos and grovelkin is just trolling him blatantly. there is nothing preventing canelo from fighting golovkin in september. Golovkin is the one that has positioned himself to avoid that september fight and is giving us a garbage fight on cinco de mayo.

The suspension was temporary until the hearing. Why cancel before you have a chance to clear your name?

Obviously it messes with your training regimen.

The strangest thing about all this is that, after NSAC suspended Canelo, they waited like 3-4 weeks for the hearing.
