              Right thing to do, at 39 you have to wonder just how much good he would do for the sport and god forbid if he suffered a tragic accident and severly injured or a death. The sport would never recover from it so they have done a good thing.
              Boxing is not sport you can mess around with and with ferdinand at 39 just thinking he can compete with pro boxers when he has competed all his adult life as a paid footballer is kind of disrepectful as well.
              Now go do whitecollar if he wants to box

                    I suppose I can’t complain that this sideshow was stopped before it could begin but it kind of sounds like he was turned down arbitrarily without even getting to do the tests. Symptomatic of UK officials’ tendency to just act arbitrarily when the alternative is inconvenient for them.
