Says they are basic boxers with average skills. Nothing to brag about whatsoever. Not a fan of any heavyweight right now, maybe in the future when Usyk rules the herd!
Thing is, Parker never really went after him, but he didn't run either. The reason AJ never looked great is that he showed no power and never went after it. Don't know why everyone wants to apologize for AJ but both men are equally to blame for fighting conservatively. The ref didn't help but it was only a few moments he disputed. They had 12rds of yawn.
With AJ going the distance for the first time and with JP lasting much more than what many "experts" gave him credit for...
What is your take on what we saw this weekend?
My opinion is he could be much better of a fighter than Joshua If he refined a few things about his overall fight game, he struggled with the size maybe he was overawed by the whole situation 80 thousand booing drunk Brits it is a lot to take in.
I think It's still early days for JP he can come back and his performance at the weekend imo definitely deserved him a lot of credit I also think he deserved a draw for this fight, but fat chance of that happening over there.

he struggled to close distance throughout the fight, it wasnt just because of the referee. Joshua controlled the ring even with a limited output and whilst he was boring, that boring wlad style of controlling distance with jab showed a level of maturity that it was what he felt was required to win the fight.
Yeah the referee was wank, but its moot when AJ controlled the majority of the bout.
As for your feelings of parker deserving a draw, even he admits he got beat.. maybe not by the margin, but he stated he wasnt good enough on the night and that the better man won.
Parker didn't really seem to go for it, and was reluctant to open up. Joshua seemed happy with that flow as he was winning the rounds that way, and was happy to win via decision.
I thought Joshua controlled the distance and most of the rounds with his jab, and Parker wasn't sure how to or always willing to close the distance, except for spurts here and there.
