that could be right, but I would not blame Golovkin if he postponed

that decision should be up to him
fair that it is his call. But I genuinely believe that with Abel Sanchez knowing what's up and given that we're not dealing with say nandrolene, he's not really at risk of facing a "bulked up" fighter. At worst Canelo gets extra testing (as he will) and we're good.

I confess I woudl be disappointed if either one canceled on this stuff. But clearly they know better than me on this. Something like not making weight is more serious to me.

WADA’s issued statement was slightly confusing. Toxicology labs usually implement bio analyzers, which as an assay method, is quantitative (measured in concentration) in nature. They become qualitative (positive or negative) based off of established ranges, the parameters of which should be arbitrarily chosen relative to the concentration of analyte found in urine of a known concentration of drug ingested.

Therefore I don’t understand how he can test positive and be within normal acceptable ranges with the consumption of tainted meat. It appears that the vernacular used by the article was incorrect or WADA is too lazy to amend what the acceptable ranges are. After all if a free pass is given for those found “positive” of clenbuterol, why not raise the lower limit of positivity for the drug?

I’m not an authority on the pharmacokinetics of doping but taking a quick glance at WADA testing guidelines, It seems relatively unlikely that someone would test positive for clenbuterol just from the consumption of tainted meat. Normal doses of clenbuterol are in the ballpark of 50-100ug, keep in mind traces of clenbuterol in livestock SHOULD be less than 100ng/kg. That would equate to eating 1000kg of tainted meat, assuming those are the levels, which again is doubtful in poorly regulated agricultural standards.

Of course the above illustration is from a standpoint of ingestion of a specific concentration of a drug, not accounting for metabolism of the analyte.

TLDR; someone needs to get to the bottom of this in order to responsibly make an accurate judgement

you really dont know me and have no clue, im a bigger canelo fan than you are, but im no fanboy, i been following canelo since he was 16 yo but im not going to defend ****t like this... even if it was tainted meat which is very likely in mexico i think he should take care of him self, if you are an athlete and you visit mexico you dont eat meat at restaurants, cuz there is no way to trace if the meat is clean or not.. and with all the money he has he should be importing his meat from the us , but like you said most likely nothing is going to happen, already heard sulaiman take on this and he is backing canelo 100%, even vada is backing canelo right now, so i dont see anything happening tbh..
Okay then I apologize for coming at you like that.
And thats the thing, we'll never know exactly how he got that substance in his body. And your right, Canelo should take care of himself and he's responsible for what he consumes.
But at the end of the day Boxing is fucced up like that. It's all about money and Canelo is the cash cow of boxing so nothing will happen.
                  Should he be punished? Absolutely!
And so should every fighter who tests positive for a banned substance.
But this crooked ass alphabet soup organizations don't really care about a boxer's well being so we both know nothing will happen. They just want their money.
Untill Boxing has a legitimate commission that actually cares about a boxer's well being and actually does something to try to clean up the sport then boxing will keep running the way it has.
It's fucced up but it's just the way it is.

Every fighter should set up camp in Mexico or go on vacation there and use this as an excuse since the WBC are openly allowing cheating. Clenbuterol has a lot of advantages to it.
