I watched a good portion of the fight. I know he stopped Barrera towards the end but I wasn't that impressed with Bivol. Don't get me wrong he looked good but his performance was quite a drop off from what I saw before. Barrera also looked a little out of his depth in the fight like he gave up in the first few rounds. And it still took Bivol quite a while to get the stoppage. Bivol definitely has skills and will be a monster in the division but I still see him as work in progress. I also didn't realize how small Bivol looked next to Barrera.

      You sure did.
Obviously can't count Kovalev out but I do strongly believe Bivol stops him.
Kovalev fan but Ward took a lot out of him, he just doesn't look the same fighter to me he was not so long back.
I could be very mistaken but I wouldn't pick him over a lot of fighters at 175 (Stevenson, Bivol, The Nail, Beterbiev) Jack possibly beats him too.

Adonis has the power that could potentially make that glass jaw smash of Jacks... Sure Bivol probably has the boxing IQ to school him, but I doubt Jack is gonna beat Adonis.

Ward was in his camp actually possibly doing a bit of scouting. Seen a few interviews and Ward really praises him.

Its a fight I'd love to see. Who do you think takes it Dan?

I thought he was a bit of a hype job. Kid impressed me. He's got a bright future.

I only caught a couple of rounds because of the other card but what stood out to me the most was his quick hands.

I hope they make Kovalev vs Bivol next. None of this "the fight will make more money down the line" stuff.

Exactly how I see the division. I am a fan of both Kovalev and Bivol but feel that would be a passing of the torch fight especially after seeing last nights performances. (Mikalkhin better than expected but I thought Kovalev looked quite bad).
I know Mikalkhin was all bloody and got stopped but is it me or Kovalev's right hand didn't seem to have its usual thump. I don't like this current version of Kovalev's against the other top dogs at LHW. In hindsight, Barrera probably made a bad decision, it should have went the Kov's route instead of Bivol.

Johnny!! Enjoyed our boy's performance last night?
Did a number on Barrera.. made him look like Sillyman Barrera for taking the fight..

I guess Bivol won a few guys over last night and proved he is the real deal..

I'd love nothing more than wbss to pick it up and have a LHW tournament. These beasts need to fight each other.
We saw two fighters struggle with the southpaw stance last night, the struggle was real. I would like to see him vs. Bivol, so we get to see how much competitive spirit he has left. Is he just gonna allow the new guy to replace him? It is a great match-up.

I'll take Ward just solely on experience but to be fair I haven't watched too much of Bivol but from what I've seen he looks good.
