Comments Thread For: Kell Brook: I Regret Errol Spence Fight, I Was Too Drained at 147

Kell Brook has revealed his regret at remaining at welterweight for too long but insists it will not stop him returning to his peak at 154lbs. The 31-year-old on Saturday at the Sheffield Arena begins his permanent move to the light-middleweight division, where he will fight Belarus' Sergey Rabchenko, best known for ending the career of Brook's one-time stablemate Ryan Rhodes.

Goes without saying the guy kills himself to make weight or he'd still be at WW

He did look pretty drained but Spence was the better man. Many good fights left for Brook.

I for one, Brook doesn't have to explain away how much of a true champion, gladiator and soldier he is. He displayed the kind of heart, toughness, courage and intestinal fortitude to step into the ring with two of the most avoided fighters in boxing.

Not many men in general and professional boxers in particular can even say that. Unlike Brook, some champions refuse to even try to defend their titles in the ring like Miguel Cotto.

However, Kell on the other hand, instead of just giving up away his title chose to defend it in the ring. That in and of itself my friends are the mark of a Hell of a man and a Hell of a champion.

As I can only speak for myself, I couldn't have been more proud of him for doing what he did.

Never thought much of Brook to be honest.

Nothing in his resume suggested he was anything other than decent at best.

Any version of Brook would have lost to Spence.

LMFAO! The QUITTER and his groupies still trying to make it sound like he's not a QUITTER who has the heart of the Cowardly Lion. Flat track bully. Bum slayer. Handpicked bum of an opponent who is a regular sparring partner. This guy is nothing but a fraud.

History is littered with examples of fighters who went up in weight and back down and were not the same afterward. Fine-tuned athletes end up aging themselves rapidly doing that. Having said that, Spence is tops and could be the guy to beat anyone at 147. Cant wait to see Thurman and Crawford in the mix with him. I would pay good money to see those fights.

Dropping the weight hurt, so did jumping right into a big fight against a puncher after a ko loss.
