The rule has always been when the first round begins. Let's hear from Koba too though.

The only prob is we need to have someone to end tread and since we have two fights.Obv we would have to do it on 1st one but still going forward it might be easy to just always stop at start of tele. But yea see what Koba thinks.

Ummm. I'm reluctant to change the 'opening bell' ruling, though there's no real reason not to have an earlier call. How we deal with fights at different times is tricky though. Thing is for the US fights much of the time it ain't gonna fall on me to close the thread, cos I'm usually tucked up in bed these days, but it'd be my inclination to do a separate vote close for each fight. Picks cast on the fight that has already started wouldn't count, but would still be accepted for the later fight. It does sound like a ballache, and it might turn out to be too much hassle, but I'm for giving it a go for the time being. What it might be worth doing is enrolling a couple of the players to post the cut-off in the thread, just in case any of us ain't on the ball.

What you guys reckon. Try it for this week at least and see how it goes?

So you want to end thread twice? that sounds tough as I'm not always watching live. Most of time its not much behind but I don't know how we do that with both fights and being on diff networks

I absolutely see where you're coming from, but it's just... IDK, man, ha ha - that's just how it's done. That even sounds like a weak reason to my own ears, cos I'm all not usually one that hangs on tradition for the sake of it... but I'm struggling with letting this one go.

Well I really like getting as much info as possible but I ALMOST never live. And also we will have t watch both fights that means knowing what happened on undercard of other fight. That I HATE because knowing the result really kills it for me really knowing anything(dec, type of fight). But I'm the new guy so don't wanna step on toes and ruin it for somone else.

I was more thinking about circumstances where the fights are a significant time apart for two separate closes. Like, say, if we got a WBSS fight in Europe and a US fight - even perhaps an East and West coast fight. As long as the fights are either on the same card or roughly simultaneous one cut-off is probably OK. If we do need two cut-offs though we could probably enlist the help of the players.

So you guys just go with what we doing?who going end tread? But as far even fights that start an hour apart can mean everthing. If we going with at bell we need to close at 1st bell and be sure its 1st bell because just 15 mins apart on start time enough to get burned.

Nah. I don't think it's necessary for you to watch two cards. There'll be plenty of other guys willing to call time when the fight they're watching starts. Bigjavi's RBR threads always have a few posters who'll do the business, and anyway, if that fails it shouldn't be too difficult to find out what time a fight started retroactively and just not count any picks after it began.
