Those weight cuts must be awful, he cut a quarter of his weight to make 147, that would kill you. Still don't see him beating Garcia, hope I'm wrong.

Same old story, expect the same old fighter.
Maybe. But it was very clear he was way out of shape vs Bradley.

Since he won the 135 strap he's been various levels of weight-drained for the majority of his fights.

Especially since Bradley is on record saying he retired when he saw Jeff "The Hornet" Horn abuse Manny over 12. He knew Arum would feed him to the Hornet next.

The reason Bradley retired was from the Provodnikov fight.

Keep it real man, Rios been draining, he ain't learned no lesson cuz that's how he's been winning.

True rios has always been a weight bully in the sense that he blew up and only made weight momentarily for the weigh in and blew back up however that doesn't take away from his skills in the ring, how he was able to out box Peterson, out grind Acosta, our war Alvarado, to make Pacquaio visit plan c and abandon the toe to toe fight he tried in the first 3 rounds. Even bradley had to be weary of the weakest version of Brandon we have seen.

When he took it serious it impressed ala Rios vs Alvarado 3 yes it was a the ****tiest version of Alvarado we have ever seen but remove that from the equation and Rios still showed great defense, head movement and fluidity in his style.

So yeah Rios blowing up was part of everyday routine but he had it under control for the most part till he didnt and he suffered that fate that most boxers do who dont take the sport serious.

and the DRANK retired bradley and bradley suffered from the same self-curse Rios did they both loved to blow up 30-40lbs between fights.

I got both of them on block, can you share this since people still think Denial is a river?

He won the fight, but it was just like, I saw him all bloody and just, you know, beat up, and just been through hell. And I looked over to my wife, and I said, ‘Hey, I wanna talk to you after this fight.’ And from there, that’s when I was just like, ‘You know, I don’t wanna be in here fighting for a paycheck. You know, I have my legacy. I’ve done it. I don’t wanna be in here and take that type of punishment anymore. I don’t think I can.’

“And the old Bradley, like the Bradley that was on the rise, was like, I would look at Horn and I would look at all of his mistakes, and I would say, ‘I would eat that guy alive. Bring him on now.’ But the Bradley mindset now is, ‘I don’t know if I wanna go through all that torture, go through all that pain and go through that mess anymore. I don’t have the guts for it anymore, man. I’m gonna have to bag out.’ And that’s the thing – that’s the reason why. You can’t be one foot in, guys, and one foot out in any sport. You can’t just do a sport or anything just for the money. I left a lot of money on the table. I’m not mad at that. I just don’t wanna end up getting hurt, you know, if I’m not mentally ready.”
Jeff "The Hornet" Horn scared the man into retirement. And I don't blame him, because I firmly believe Horn would have done him worse than Ruslan.

He beat Peterson because he rehydrated 16lbs to 151lbs and Peterson put on 5lbs. Rios was almost a Jr. Middleweight vs a Super Lightweight. When you watch the first few rounds, Rios power changes the entire fight and that's because of the weight. Losing and gaining that much weight, I have doubts it was done legit.

Rios got some skills, but I don't think he'd be anywhere near where he's at if he didn't take advantage of weight classes.

He made the weight. So thats not really an issue. The problem is Peterson couldn't hang with Rios, skill wise or power wise, he was getting hurt by a jab, the same jab that hurt Alvarado at 147, the same jab that dropped Acosta, the same jab that hurt Peterson. Rios has a very strong under utilized jab.

The single thing that lead rios to where he is at is his heart. Hes not the most skilled but those he was more skilled than he out skilled, those he wasnt he out war'd, those he couldn't out-skill or out-war he lost aka pacquaio and bradley.
