he was landing punchs, after punchs on sturm, it was an exciting fight because delahoya was always on the attack

Good move on Oscar's part, he's stalling to let the idea of Mayweather vs DLH fester then he'll demand a bigger piece of it , since MW thinks he can handle Oscar easier than Judah I see Mayweather giving away millions if Oscar demands it.

This is a clever move by Oscar. He has always done this same thing... For the Hopkins fight, he said that Hopkins was the tallest mountain to climb and it was a huge mountain at that...and its a monumental opportunity, etc. He was pretty much setting himself up as a kind of under-dog... to make his attempt to climb the mountain look better, and make him look good win or lose.
Its the same thing with these injuries... If he takes the fight, it will be seen as a very gutsy move, and he will get much credit for simply accepting the fight, and will be praised win or lose for attempting to climb yet another great mountain. DLH has always been a clever guy...

I think it's not yet the time to say the reqiem on the prospect of Oscar-PBF. Champions have huge egos and champs who are stars have even bigger ones.
Oscar has just seen what his partner Bernard has accomplished. I am enclined to believe that Oscar's ego won't allow him to forego the opportunity to close his career in a fashion that may or may not be considered as similar to that of Hopkins, but, surely, one that shall be considered distinguished. Only a meeting with Mayweather offers that opportunity. No cap can be better for Oscar's career than beating the fighter who is at the top of most P4P lists (if he gets to do it). Exiting with a win over Mayorga cannot compare with that.

Also, if Oscar beats Mayweather = Huge
If Oscar loses but gives a great account of himself in the fight = Great.
If he loses badly = "he was over-the-hill anyway" and it wont deminish his career much.
