    How easily did El Zurdo handle Vlasov?

    Was it close or an easy win for Ramirez?

      Very close as I recall. Wasn't exactly a gift but the scorecards did not reflect the action. I'm still baffled as to why the 6'3" Vlasov drained down to SMW for so long... Cruiser is quite clearly a better fit for him.

              Close. If anything Zurdo looks a touch taller in the pics from their fight..



              Although Boxrec has Zurdo at 189cm and Maxim at 192cm.

                ... actually, the fight was at a catchweight of 171lb... at that point, Vlasov was campaigning in the light heavyweight division...

                  Ummm. Yeah, I'd forgotten about the CW, and you are, of course, correct in that his previous fight had been at the full 175, but by the looks that was the only time he actually fought to the LHW limit. He does have a number around 170ish in the way that fighters do when they're aiming for the division below but there's no real penalty for missing weight, though.

                  Regardless, I'd say the point still stands... Maxim is ridiculously tall even for 171Lbs, dude doesn't even look that thick at 200.
