Dorticos (like many fans) himself can't analyze the fight like that because he's too emotionally involved.

And even in another loss there'd be a lot of money for him, let's not ignore that. He can make more money losing to Gassiev again than he'd make in his other 20 fights of his career combined.
The disparity in skills wasn't big... you make sound as though he was systematic beaten down and it was a mismatch.. If he works on his cardio, he would be him

''he obviously also felt so before the fight but those feelings are just clouding his judgment and holding him back.'' How thinking he would beat him holding him back? From what exactly?

IMO going into round 8 it was more or less even or Dorticos was winning by a round he lost badly in the last 4 rounds because of his stamina issues but if he works on that and controls the pace he can beat gassiev.

I am probably in the minority here, but I am happy the referee didn't stop the fight after KD1 or KD2. I knew Dorticos would be shouting that it was a premature stoppage and that he wants Gassiev again asap. Turns out being knocked out of the ring doesn't stop him talking about a rematch either...

When a fighter is as arrogant as Dorticos, there's so much at stake and the fight is not one-sided, I think the referee should let the fight run its course and not stop it before any doubt is removed.

Yes, Dorticos fought like always, with a chip on his shoulder.
This time he ended up being the one on the canvas.

His corner should have thrown the towel after the first KD. It was clear he couldn't defend himself.
His chin might be ruined for good now; he's always been in these types of wars.

Dorticos took so many flush punches made me think gassiev can't pounch much harder than poaul mallignaggi. But just maybe dorticos has tough chin.
Now maybe if nelo lands that much on GGG same thing might happen

Humility is a tough lesson to learn. Aside from that I think that's all he's getting from Gassiev. Gassiev is on to great things I think. He put a beating on the doctor. Period.

Cubans get ruined after taking beatings. No heart, they leave it all in the amateurs. The latest victim of the Cuban Slide is Gamboa. Next Lara. The only one that will take it to the next level is Ortiz. I think he has a different kind of motor.

One word. Wilder. I can see him on his back too as his arrogance is second to none.

I completely disagree. Every single shot Gassiev threw landed cleanly. Dorticos flailed occasionally. Gassiev was like a surgeon.
