Mayweather wants Pacman?
MANNY Pacquiao, without a doubt, is a megastar in the world boxing stage.
So much so that the camp of Floyd Mayweather Jr., considered as the best pound for pound boxer in the world, is willing to enter into a fight between perhaps the two best fighters in the world today in the near future.
This was confirmed by Games and Amusements Board chairman Eric Buhain.
“It’s going to be a blockbuster. Our friends in the world boxing council tipped this to us, and if plans push through, this would be the biggest break for Manny,” said Buhain, who arrived from Las Vegas, where he was appointed supervisor in the World Boxing Council title match between lightweight world champion American Diego Corrales and Mexican challenger Jose Luis Castillo.
Buhain said that Mayweather Jr., currently fighting under the stable of acclaimed promoter Bob Arum, is willing to lose some pounds just to face the Filipino champion.
“Manny’s ideal weight is 130 lb, but he can fight at 135 and Mayweather is willing to trim down from 140 to 135 just to fight Pacquaio,” Buhain stressed.
Mayweather, son a former boxing champion, is currently holding three titles—the WBC super featherweight, lightweight and both the WBC and IBF and WBC welterweight—and remains undefeated.
“Parang wala nang challenge sa division na nilalabanan niya kaya ang plano yata labanan si Pacquiao kahit na magbawas siya ng tim****,” Buhain said. Edwin Rollon
