Manny weighs in at around 144 or 145 for his welterweight bouts and he eats on the day of the weigh in. He never looked like he was cutting any kind of weight to make 147, of course he did cut weight just like all fighters do but it was never to the point where you could see it. When he used to fight at 130 though he used to look like he really had a hard time making the weight and he was a lot more cut and defined.

I think 140 lbs is the perfect weight class for Pacquiao and I think it would be the perfect weight limit for the fight, but if I were Lomachenko I'd also agree on 141 or even 142 but not higher than that. The fight would be good but not as great as people expect it to be, these 2 have similar styles with Lomachenko being technically and physically better but with Pacquiao having a much bigger punch and a ton of experience at that level, so it can end up being a technical chess match with Lomachenko being too cautious and with Pacquiao swinging at air for a long portion of the fight, neither of them has ever faced the style of the other.

Pac shouldn't be fighting at his age. This is a ridiculous match up.

So let's review with #48 and Floma logic...

            Pac can make 140...

Floma said np to 135 with Garcia...
Foma would be expected to retire at 140...all it means is that Floma doesn't have to cut or hurt his body at a 140 fight seeing as he fights close to 140 on fight night.

Marquez never bottle to 147 in Pac fights...

Rigo was expected to move up two classes, 8lbs..

So it's not absurd for Pac vs Loma at 140. We all know this.

#48 vs Floma can be made...that's if the #48 fans truly want it

did you mean..... MUCH smaller ?

I'd rather see Pac vs Bud or just retire and let Loma do his thing at 130.

                same here

No there not!!! Crawford is HUGE!!! And Loma weighs in on fight night 138. Used to fight at 134 in the Olympics.

Pac was 145 when he fought JMM the second time at SFW. JMM was 140+ as well I think. Both of them were pretty big at the weight back then.

I actually don't see Lomachenko being too cautious. It just isn't his way. Pac is more boxer than boxer-puncher for the last 6/7 years. And now that he has slowed down he is probably lower risk for Loma than an aggressive brawler type in a higher weight class.

The real risk to Loma is a bigger guy he can't hurt who just keeps walking him down and closing off his space. Pac doesn't force the pace in that way any more and he would give Loma plenty of time and space to box.
