Comments Thread For: Lomachenko: I Won't Be Surprised If Rigondeaux Quits!

NEW YORK Vasyl Lomachenko wouldn't be surprised if Guillermo Rigondeaux decides to go out the same way Nicholas Walters did. The confident southpaw said Wednesday that he thinks he can make the undefeated Rigondeaux quit when they square off in a highly anticipated 130-pound title fight Saturday night. Walters was unbeaten when he got in the ring with Lomachenko a year ago in Las Vegas, yet decided seven largely lopsided rounds were enough and declined to continue.

Yup, a little hate before the fight just to get the fireworks going, but not too much as to become overly emotional, get carried away and do some ****** mistake. A quick KO would be a bit disappointing...

Lol Lomo said in a recent interview he thinks the fight will go twelve rounds.

If Rigo quits, I will be disgusted. I like both fighters, but that quitting stuff because you are losing is just horrendous. It is one thing if you are seriously hurt. However, quitting because you are frustrated shows a lack of mental toughness that other good and great fighters have shown. Hopefully, both guys put on a masterclass that hardcores and casuals can enjoy.

I wonder if we will finally get to see Rigo showboating! Kind of playing off of Loma. I am starting to get massively hyped for this one.

Loma is feeling himself a little too much. There hasn't bee anything in rigos character that shows that he'd quit. The guy is one of the most confident boxers you can find. I hope he whoops Loma and it's a clear victory with no need for a rematch.

I won't be surprised at all if it goes the distance cuz loma got good stamina. Come to think of it, as long as Rigondeaux don't pack a lot of weight (over 130) he should be fine too.
