His style now surely is completely different than before he met sanchez as theres no special fx to his style as the canelo fight demonstrated,he looked amatuerish throughout missing wildly, regardless if u think he won,(which I disagree with you on),that part is irrefutable.

His style is ENTIRELY as much of an imitation of Chavez as is possible.
Thank you for the sources you provided, and I must agree he imitates Chavez, that's where he gets unorthodox.
I tell you what I notice, huge % of his game, his jab.
His head generally dangles on the right side and his weight is on the back foot. He almost always jabs from this position (weight shifts from back foot to lead hand). Doing so he can constantly jab w.o. losing balance and stay secured.
And that jab generally is followed by the right hook, as the left holds the phone.
Main defence is rolling the punches with forearms in a high-guard.
These are the oldest traits of soviet style and only taught by the old coaches from that area these days here and there.
GGG has abandoned one signature trait of the style, the probing lead, what Rigo does. Yes, doing so he approaches like a Mexican after a few rounds of jabbing. The first vid, you see the structure of GGG and his jabbing. In the second vid you see some Rigo . Thank you for your love on the topic g .

That's all spot on, I wish we got to see more of the soviet style G displayed in the open workout prior to nelo fight the way he shadowboxed showed he still has the technique, but transfering into the fight he couldn't do was a shame.

When I hear 'Mexican Style' I always think of JCC Sr. (or JMM, Barrera, Morales) move forward style, pressure, pressure, pressure, body work etc, wear down the opponent. I wouldn't say any of those were rock-em sock-em, lots more skill involved, their styles just led to more exchanges as opponents tried to keep them off (or of course when fighting each other and both trying to move forward, ends up an exciting war of attrition to get the other guy going backwards).

Rigo will move backwards by choice and look for Loma to move forward on to counters - if Loma is as good as we think, he won't do that, so first couple of rounds will be Rigo waiting for Loma to walk onto something, and Loma probing to see how he can get in without walking on to anything - ie a lot of pawing and moving without a lot of punches thrown. Loma is counting on being able to find a way in eventually - Rigo hoping to keep him on the outside all fight.
that's how i see it to, like the first 4 rounds of walters is how they will start, what happens next depends on wether Loma will find the openings
