Good Domestic Fight but lets not get carried away.

    Groves isn't a Top 5 Super Middleweight.

Eubank Jr isn't a Top 10 Super Middleweight.

Neither Guy is any thing special and have failed at the highest level, multiple times in Groves case.

Eubank Jr has run away from every challenge presented with whether it was BJS Rematch or GGG.

I'd much rather it be in Manchester tbh, the Manchester Arena is way better than the O2 for boxing, and I hate stadium fights tbh. This fight will sell out 100%. Eubank and Groves are 2nd and 3rd behind AJ in terms of popularity in the UK.
Triple DDD is the UK's second most talked about Boxer according to current internet Traffic statistics.

Also Groves is only popular because of Froch fight controversy and Eubank Jr because of his father.

Triple DDD has achieved his popularity in only 5 fights and 8 months of being a Pro without getting it from another boxers fame or a famous father!

        Weird choice of venue, really.

I'm a fan of George but I think Jr breaks him down and stops him late now. Changed my mind a bit.

I'd have thought Eubanks team (snr in particular) objected to the fight being held in London so Manchester being neutral is a good idea.

I would say they are comfortably both top 5 super middleweights. It is a fairly weak division since Ward left and even Jack has moved up in weight. Groves lost twice to Froch who was the 2nd best SM at the time (the first loss was very controversial with Groves doing very well) His other loss was a SD to Jack who is another top SM and Groves was with a joke of a trainer at the time.

Eubank junior has looked top class in his recent fights but this is the acid test. Hi only loss was when he was very inexperienced and even then it was a razor tight decision against unbeaten BJS.

Don't think either Jack or BJS losses were all that close personally speaking.

Let's be real though, neither has beaten a Top 10 Middleweight or Super Middleweight in their careers.

How can Eubank Jr be Boxrec Number 1 Super Middleweight when he's never beaten a Top 10 Middleweight or Super Middleweight in his career let alone held a World Title...Complete lunacy!

I could think of 5 Current Supermiddles who i would have no hesitation in picking over either Groves or Eubank:

              Gilberto Ramirez
              James Degale
              Anthony Dirrell
              David Benvenidez
              Andre Dirrell

Until Groves or Eubank beats one of these guys, they are definitely not Top 5 guys although might just sc**** into Top 10 because as you say, Super Middleweight division very weak at moment.

Good fight, winner has a real claim for #1 Super Middleweight

                  Whaaaaaaaaat?

What has either guy actually done? Nothing.

James Degale is the CLEAR Number 1 Super Middleweight.

What's weird about holding it in the biggest indoor arena in Europe, in the coldest month of the year? It was the best option.
