The only success Mcgregor had against Mayweather was whatever Mayweather let him have. That simple!
Mayweather let Mcgregor win the first few rounds and he basically carried Mcgregor till he was ready to finish him off.
And if you think otherwise then you really don't know shet about boxing or Mayweather.
But on a side note... De la Hoya would beat the shet out of Mcgregor! No doubt. IDK if he'll do it in two rounds but Oscar would win.
Yep. The reality that people ignore is that if ANY elite boxer put a performance against Mayweather like McGregor did he would become a laughing stock of boxing. At the end of the day, McGregor was stopped and walked down by a smaller defensive fighter who never stops anybody and looked totally gassed in the second half of the fight. Imagine if GGG (around McGregor's size) fought Mayweather and he put a performance like Conor did and got stopped. He would instantly become the biggest joke in boxing.

I'd take Oscar's performance (or even let's say Baldomir's performance) against Floyd over McGregor's anyday. There's nothing worse than being stopped by a smaller defensive fighter. Not only that but Floyd never even gave any respect to McGregor's power.

        You joking, bro?

Drop any one-discipline fighter in with an MMA fighter of the same caliber...

They get destroyed. Quickly. Like very quickly.

It isn't a "this sport's rules vs that sport's rules" type of thing, like a BJJ grappler vs a boxer. The great martial arts experiment called MMA settled this debate decades ago.

For a real fight, it's best to train both.

Floyd didn't quit in the ring. He didn't quit on his stool or bend the knee to B hop. Is that clear!?

"You know I'm competitive," De La Hoya said. "I still have it in me. I've been secretly training, secretly training. I'm faster than ever and stronger than ever.''

            SMDH..........

im still a dlh fan but hes pushing it. in fact, im hoping they fight and he gets ktfo.

Broke: Big-name boxing promoter decrying the Mayweather-Mcgregor event as a waste of time and money for fans

Joke: Same big-time boxing promoter offering to match one of his own fighters against Mcgregor after saying this

WOKE: Same big-time boxing promoter offering to come out of retirement to FIGHT HIM HIMSELF

I want off this ride already

Oscar is a druggy and gasses himself. McGregor is fighting the perfect big-name opponent - a washed-up, druggy who gasses and only has one punch - the left hook.

I hope the fight doesn't happen, but I'd go with McGregor on points.

Oscar should write an open letter to himself about how he is ruining boxing.
