What’s even more crazy is that Bob “I have no soul” Arum was the person who got Panama and Resto banned for life yet he campaigned for Bumgarito and got him 2 more huge paydays even after Mosley almost killed him. No respect for these people whatsoever. When we’re talking the biggest scumbags in boxing I gotta put The Bobfather and Bumgacheato at the top. I'm with Cotto here, that cheat doesn't deserve any more big pay days, and I think cotto would beat him even more convincingly in a 3rd fight. Kamegai was a better version of today's margarito.

The truth is he still had the same struggles in the second fight with Margarito as he did in the first. The biggest difference is Margo post Pacquaio had a busted orbital bone that will never be 100% and was an easy target to rebreak.

We dont know that Margo used special wraps against Cotto, that is a convenient assumption by cotto to make excuses for his loss, something Cotto has done every time he loses. Cotto's team and the NSAC inspected and approved the wraps that Margo used in his first fight. In the rematch, Cotto showed the same vulnerabilities he did in the first fight.

Let cotto fight some stiff for his final fight, atleast we wont have to see him running out of the ring crying and refusing to do interviews and proclaiming he was "robbed" when he loses to anyone top 10 in the division.

The two fights looked similar in that Margarito was constantly applying pressure, but his punches just didn't have the same impact in the second fight. You could say that this is because Cotto was deliberately using more movement in the second fight, but that doesn't explain it all because Margarito was still landing some shots. Cotto felt more pain by the end of the second round of the first fight than he ever felt in the second fight.

if i was cotto i wouldve taken the trilogy for my final bout because 1.) even tho marg is washed, mexicans and prs would still tune in to support their guys because of the boxing rivalry as well as the personal rivalry between the two. they probably could've even done modest ppv numbers if they chose that route. 2.) cotto would probably dispose of margarito with 3 or 4 rounds or he could have drawn out a long humiliating beat down on marg and go out on a win that people who tuned in would remember.

Margarito knew his eye was a liability going in to the second fight, yet he lacked the skill to make the necessary adjustments to prevent the doctor from ending the fight. Everyone who says Margarito was coming on towards the end -- well, there are legitimate differences of opinion there (his head was still getting snapped back in that last round) -- but it was Margarito's responsibility to keep the fight out of the doctor's hands and he utterly failed at that. So why are people still making excuses for him?

yea i dont really understand why people make it out to be like cotto was on the verge of getting stopped or something.

I never really understood Margaritos dislike for Cotto if theres anyone he should hate its Pacquiao for ruining the remainder of his career. He always wanted to fight cotto but never wanted to avenge his defeats to mosely or pac. strange..
