This isn't the mismatch that GGG vs Kell Brooke was or Canelo vs Khan was.

I'd say skills wise Rigo is better, he's got longer arms and he's going up by 8 pounds not by 13. Loma is not the puncher that GGG is and while Rigo is a little soft in the chin he ain't Khan.

The size doesn't worry me at all. This is not a Gamboa vs Crawford fight where the size disparity was huge. What worries me is Rigo's age and inactivity. I am not sure if he'll be able to keep up the pace and I am not sure what his reaction time and reflexes will be like at 37. The size is not an issue, Rigo's age and inactivity at this weight class is the real question mark.

Just got word that the WBA plans on dropping Rigo out the rankings if he loses. Meaning if he loses to loma, bob arum & espn then Rigo won't be ranked in his own division. They are trying to set Rigo up! If the fight is close & Rigo wins they will give it to loma.

Rigo got arms length advantage, he will hit Loma hard , pretty hard .

I know what you’re saying. But I’m taking these guys pedigrees into account. I’ll be just as excited to see what they make each other NOT do as I will to see what they can do. I agree about the low action, but in a weird way that’s what will be entertaining to me. But you seen lomas last fight when the guy didn’t engage Loma was forcing him too.

If Loma fights even remotely like he fought his last fight against Mariaga. He will get stopped. He was hit a lot in that that fight and if he does that against Rigo he will pay dearly

The main reason I don't see Rigo winning is because of him jumping up in weight. Otherwise I would slightly favor Rigo to win. But we'll see I'm very interested in this fight. Hopefully both fighters won't be punch shy considering they are both counter punchers.

I’m in the same boat. I’d be rooting for Lomo versus anyone else, but I’ll be pulling for Rigo in this encounter. And, like you, I’m afraid the size advantage will be the deciding factor. Then again, you never know. Rigo has beat bigger opponents before, guys that probably punch harder than Lomachenko. It could turn out to be a complete mismatch, or it can turn out to be a classic. Either way he out (.......) Rigo IMHO. If Rigo wins this fight then he has a good claim as the PPV number 1 by a mile.

Listen, I know what you're saying, but sometimes these type of fights aren't the best to watch. I think it'll look like the Hearns v. Benitez fight. Great tactically, but low on entertainment value.

I hope Rigo is faster (hands) than I think he his, but something tells me he wont be able to keep up with Loma's hand speed so he'll nullify that advantage, resulting in less exchanges. I could be wrong but considering the skill level on both sides, I think that's the likely scenario.
