Comments Thread For: Dominic Breazeale Drops, Stops Eric Molina at Barclays

NEW YORK Dominic Breazeale beat Eric Molina on Saturday night, but he didn't do much to generate interest in a potential title shot against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Breazeale knocked down Molina in the eighth round, after which Molina's corner men stopped their scheduled 12-round WBC elimination match on the Wilder-Bermane Stiverne undercard at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Wish this had been a seminfinal and Breazeale vs Whyte could be made the final eliminator, that would've been a fun, action fight

At heavyweight it is possible but Breazeale is pretty horrendous. Dude is like the definition of a stiff, a stiff with some toughness and size to wear down inferior opposition but not actually make any waves in the division.

Still one would have to assume Breazeale will be in the final eliminator, perhaps against Whyte (or someone else if he gets a shot at the belt). So if it is Breazeale or someone that beats Breazeale it should be at worst a push.

You never know the WBC may try really ****ing hard to outdo themselves and make a worse mandatory.

Imagine how bad a Brezeale-Whyte fight would be, they both look like they're punching through water. HW boxing is trash nowadays

Should've broadcast this fight instead of the Lipinets fight (even tho I'm a Lipinets fan)
