Will Rigondeaux's textbook footwork beat Lomachenko's unorthodox footwork?

Loma's known for his unorthodox footwork kind of like Pacquaiao but with a lot more nuances and cross steps, and that's his biggest advantage in any fight.

Will it be against Rigo though? If you look closely Loma is punching with his feet in the air, crossing his feet where he is completely off balance, stepping heel first toe second. All of these things are major no-no's in boxing, but he's been making it work because of his unreal talent.

So everybody thinks his footwork is phenomenal simply because nobody's been able to take advantage of the errors he makes ( being on his heels, squared-up, punching with his feet up in the air, stepping with the heel first, having his lead leg a little too straight at times).

Rigo while old and small also has a very unreal talent and his footwork is as textbook as they come.

I am very curious to see if Loma's talent will again let him get away with the errors he does when he lunges in and squares up cause Rigo's definitely the man the exploit these holes in Loma's game that everybody thinks it's Loma's main advantages.

hand speed will be a big factor in this fight, rigo is quicker, im favoring rigo in this one even though he's moving up. never really been all that impress with loma.

Also, will Loma be able to take Rigo's left because El Chacal has some serious bite. Look at how his opponents all just shell up once they feel the left and just hide behind a high guard.

Rigo's power, speed, footwork and IQ will defeat Loma.

That quickstep Loma takes to his right to unload his left hook would be void, he better don't square up to throw a high count punch combo or else he'd be soiling the back of his pants a lot.

You know Rigo was down on his ass coz of his "textbook" footwork?)))
Hope Loma will get his credits for beating Rigo after all this **** spilled on him.

I don't feel Loma's footwork is unorthodox. The only difference I see is that his strides are shorter than Rigo's. Maybe Rigo uses the ring better because of his style.

The real gap between them is Rigo's superior counter punching.

But I think people are sleeping on Rigo's power because of the size difference. As soon as Loma feels the first left cross from Rigo, his punch output drops.

I could be wrong. But it's a must-see fight anyway it goes.

I don't think the footwork will be all that important tbh. Loma is in the same category as Roy Jones in terms of an unorthodox style, where the boxing textbook is thrown out the window due to their immense talent and athleticism. Rigo in spite of all his talent is just too small to trouble Loma IMO, I'm confident of a Loma stoppage in this fight. If Rigo someone manages to pull this off, It'll be on a similiar level to Duran jumping up to beat Leonard IMO.

Rigo's overall superior boxing gift/athleticism is what will overcome Lomachenko's superior textbook skills.

People have it backwards thinking Rigo's the technical one, its literally the complete opposite. Loma is the one who executes picture perfect textbook boxing maneuvers.

Rigo is more sporadic, random, elusive, has better speed and reaction time overall. He's going to catch Lomachenko off guard. He's the X Factor. Rigo is the Roy Jones in this scenario, not Loma.

Again, will Loma will be able to take Rigo's left?

Has his chin been tested? I know, Rigo may be chiny...

It wont matter- This fight will come down to activity, and lomachenko will have the edge on point with ease
