Comments Thread For: WBA Explains Luis Ortiz's One Year Suspension in Full Resolution

On September 25, 2017, the WBA Championships Committee issued Resolution No. 20170915117 clarifying the Heavyweight Division in light of Vladimir Klitschko's retirement, and authorized Super Champion, Anthony Joshua ("Joshua"), to face the IBF's mandatory, Kubrat Pulev ("Pulev"), before facing the WBA mandatory, Luis Ortiz ("Ortiz"). Joshua objected to Ortiz's status as the mandatory based on the negotiations, and subsequent announcement that Ortiz would be fighting the WBC Champion, Deontay Wilder ("Wilder"), for the WBC Championship.

So in other words he's penalized with a slap on the wrist,& can possibly fight for wba belt as soon as March of next year. Corruption at its worst.

        Corruption of the Highest Order

Now I see this clear. They suspended Luis Ortiz for the mandatory spot to fight Anthony Joshua. They are trying to get Luis Ortiz more old and the next thing happen ****, Luis Ortiz is come back the #1 WBA ranking magically and feed him to Anthony Joshua for the purpose to make Anthony Joshua looking good beating the boogeyman of the heavyweight division. Excellent plan and this stink with corruption

does anyone doubt that wilder and his team tricked ortiz with purposefully vague and hard to understand language in the paperwork to get him on a technicality. then they can run aruond saying look i tried to fight someone good but oh well i have to fight stirverne. if it wasnt the paperwork it would have been something else to cancel the fight. even stirverne knew wilder-ortiz wasnt happening.

Bermane Stiverne: I Knew Wilder-Ortiz Fight Would Never Happen (Wed Oct 25, 2017)

... “I can’t really tell you why, but it was just something that I believed that wasn’t gonna happen,” Stiverne said. “Knowing Ortiz – I know Ortiz since 2004, so you know, he’s always been who he is right now. So I don’t know. The first thought I had when people were trying to have this fight going on and I finally made the decision to [step aside] – actually, if you talk to my manager, J Prince, that’s exactly what I told him. ‘You know what? Let’s just move to the side and let them have the fight. And I guarantee you this fight ain’t gonna happen.’ And that’s exactly what happened. If I’m lying, he can tell you I’m lying.”...

I'm saying Wilder is such a courageous guy willing to step up and face such a mighty challenge from Breazeale, some may consider it a step backwards but not me I'm a Wilder fan boy...
