Something similar to this is going to happen in the Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux bout

Two ultimate masters of their field are going to cancel each other out. There most likely won't be a decisive winner and people are going to be disappointed as a result and would therefore be complaining.

So I advice everyone from a skill's perspective, not to expect either guy to totally dominate lopsidedly.

I'm a Rigo fan more than a Loma fan, but I think that couple division jump by Rigo will prove a difficult jump.

If this was fought at 126, I might agree.

But, the size is definitely going to matter here.

I think Rigondeaux may be the underdog but I won't be surprised if he outpoints Lomachenko.

Loma has been used to stationary bigger targets, i think Rigons is use to being the small guy he wins his fights with skills, i feel Rigon will adjust n will be faster n slicker just like MoneyMay does his opponents

The things i see that are against Rigon are his age n inactivity hes been fighting like once a year and at his age it will be harder to adjust against another great like Loma

Like always its a toss up fight, highly skilled anything can happen

No. Loma will overwhelm him and stop him. Then we will hear cries of weight, age etc.

If you could quantify skill I don't think either man gives away much.

What Loma gives away in defense to Rigo is what he makes up in offense.

No way is one overall more skilled than the other, they are just different, but you could argue that Loma's entire arsenal is the most loaded since RJJ.

Rigo is one of the best defensive fighters of all time, for sure he has that covered vs Loma.

Loma on other hand is just as much ahead on offence.

                They cancel each other out.

The difference here is going to be size I think and Loma will simply overwhelm the smaller man.

At the same time these are two master fighters, they might pull something that no one has seen before.

Loma might come out a very different fighter against Rigo, I can see Loma trying to feel him out for 5 rounds minimum and then bring something we never seen before.

                Same goes for Rigo.

But I think Rigo has to KO Loma that is the only way he is going to win. He will not outpoint Loma because the odd counter is not going to win him rounds when Loma will be throwing punches in bunches even though many missing. This is the direction boxing has been heading in.

Rigo is not the established consensus p4p name in boxing like Floyd was to win fights on defense and counters alone.

                Rigo needs a KO.

This is how I see it playing out. Especially if the rumors are true about Rigo's cigaratte smoking. One of the WORST bad habits a Boxer could ever have. He will need some EPO or something just to keep up.

The amount of crying will be unbearable.
