Less than a month after his Las Vegas showdown ended with a draw, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez prioritized a tie-breaker with Gennady Golovkin for the month of May. Canelo (49-1-2, 34 KOs) fought Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) to a twelve round split draw on September 16th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The controversial scores came at 118-110 for Canelo, 115-113 for Canelo, and 114-114 for the draw.
