Had Holyfield done time as Iron Mike before fighting him, it would not have been the same thing.

Tyson after prison was simply a good heavyweight whose engine had been stopped for three years. Tyson in his prime was unbeatable, and with "prime" I mean until the Spinks fight.

Then Don King came in, and the rest is history.

Why dredge up the past when they've forgiven and forgotten? Tyson has been the bigger man regarding their fights. Apologised and never whined about those head butts that left him effectively crippled in the ring. Holyfield can be a self-righteous prick at times. Tyson's cut was 10 times more severe than the bite.

I completely agree. Tyson is not a totally game boxer. He got counted out in the Douglas fight crawling on the floor trying to put his mouth piece in instead of trying to stand up and beat the count. He stayed down against Lewis when he could have gotten up and continued. After he bit Holyfield the first time the ref clearly told him if you bite him again you are DQed. A few seconds later Tyson bite him again. Tyson wanted out of that fight and biting Holyfield was the quickest and surest way out.

You didnt mention anything illegal on Holyfield gloves against Chyz nor the vast difference in his physique against Tyson , i cant imagine why ? Maybe bc it would be blatantly obvious that something didnt look right in both instances?

They had plenty of reason to believe Holyfield was on peds thats why Tyson wasnt granted one either when he wanted Holyfield tested ,again i wonder why ?

Holyfield was also almost knocked out by Tyson LIKE Cooper when he replaced Tyson in a time period when Tyson was faster and more mobile ,but we'll forget about that too.

The bandwagon for Holyfield v Tyson III begins........(just kidding, but with the amount of cr@p going on these days.....).

But the question of 'why did Tyson do whatever ?' is a bit like 'why did *****....?'. The best legal minds can only surmise its '*****/Tyson being *****/Tyson'.

Holyfield frustrated the hell out of Tyson with the use of his head and clinching, also beating him to the punch, and Tyson couldn't find a way past it to fight his normal fight.

Tyson had no confidence at all. Tyson landed his best shots but couldn't hurt Holyfield and he outmuscled Tyson on the inside. Tyson was desperate and looked for a way out.
