Experienced Mexican coach Ignacio "Nacho" Beristin is hoping to travel Sunday afternoon to Los Angeles, California, where he plans to meet WBC former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to outline a possible plan for his return. Beristin, who tonight will be in Ecatepec, State of Mexico, in the corner of world champion Ysica "Kika" Chvez in her bout against Esmeralda Moreno, already has his bags ready to speak with Chavez Jr. Californian soil - about the possibility of staging a fight at the end of November or in December.

Chavez Jr. was at his best when hehad Freddie Roach in his corner.. he is a pressure fighter and doesn't know how to utilize his reach and height I don't care what Nacho thinks he isn't going to be able to teach that to him at 32 years old.. but history has shown whenever he steps up to world class level he is a deer in the Headlights and can't perform

You are not a counter puncher a cerebral puncher. You are a poor mans version of your dad on offense. You are strong and big. Roach is the coach for you or Spences coach

On D you have to learn your dads bob and weave on way in. You can't zombie your way in letting them hit you just because you have dads chin.

Murray would have been a good fight for him. Or let Lemieux beat him up.

I agree mostly with Califire. I wanted to say that Chavez Jr is shot, but he is somewhat of an enigma.

I get the sense that for him to capture a world title again, and/or at least show us something eye-catching he needs the right motivation and the right circumstances around him.

The Canelo fight was obviously too much for him and at 32 he needs to fight at a comfortable weight. He has power, a decent chin, but is not a great volume combination puncher, and will always struggle against top class boxers who show too much movement. He needs a stationary target or at least someone he can break down early.

Why he left top rank, I'll never know. Even the Mexicans boo him now.

It's obvious he threw the fight for $. I've never seen any fighter regardless of how weak take that much punishment without punching back
