Here are the VADA The****utic Use Exemption rules:

    3. A TUE will be granted only in strict accordance with the following criteria:

    a. The Athlete would experience significant health impairment if the
method or substance were withheld in the course of training or
    competition.

    b. The the****utic use of the prohibited substance or method will
not produce any additional enhancement or provide the Athlete
with an unfair advantage or disadvantage other than that which
might be anticipated by treating a legitimate medical condition
that will maintain the Athlete’s normal health.

    c. There is no reasonable the****utic alternative other than the
    prohibited substance or method.

By that criteria Mayweather shouldn't have been granted TUE for IV infusion. He had no legitimate medical condition and the alternative was drinking more and/or fighting in higher weight class.

Wait, how does VADA say that a fighter tested positive for a banned substance, but not say what that substance is???

They can apply for retroactive TUE but it's a long shot:

            2. The application for a TUE must be reviewed by a VADA-appointed representative. The final decision of whether to grant or revoke a TUE lies solely with VADA.

            .
            .

            6. An application for a TUE will not be considered for retroactive approval except in extremely rare cases where:

            a. emergency treatment or treatment of an acute medical condition was necessary, or

            b. due to exceptional circumstances, there was insufficient time or opportunity for an applicant to submit, or VADA to consider, an application prior to doping control.

The Athlete MUST inform VADA as soon as possible by fax or email if one of these circumstances occur. A TUE will not be considered for retroactive appeal if there is a failure to timely inform VADA of the exceptional circumstances.

But Andrzej Wawrzyk??? Who the fuck was Andrzej Wawrzyk??? The article reads: "Nine months later (after Povetkin...), Poland’s Andrzej Wawrzyk tested positive for Stanozolol, an anabolic steroid, and was removed from his fight against Wilder."... Somebody explain me who the fuck was this Andrzej Wawrzyk (because I can't find him among the WBC contenders...), and how the fuck he was "selected" to fight Wilder (just after Povetkin)???

In order to conclude -- Wilder's (proposed) opponents: Povetkin (caught on PEDs); Wawrzyk (caught on PEDs); Ortiz (caught on PEDs)...
Wilder and his team were talking about a Wawrzyk fight a year or so before the proposed fight was going to happen...

...but it does seem mad questionable doesn't it?

Agreed. Ortiz always seems to have an excuse.

                  why does he need that?

he is not a 70 year old man?

He cheated once before, so he obviously doesn't take his career all that seriously. Meanwhile. Wilder is getting rich off lawsuits from opponents failing tests. Didn't even have to throw a punch and got $5M for the Povetkin fiasco. No wonder he's turning down fights.
I agree. I don't know what happened here, but it's customary to ask what you've ingested within a certain time frame, medications being a big one. And, yes, it would definitely be Ortiz's fault. ****** shit.

Maybe these guys are all cheating kents but it's a strange one for Ortiz to let this mega fight get cancelled . Especially after waiting so long for a shot
