    Good for him. If he's done, he's done - no use fighting on if the passion isn't there and the body can't take it anymore.

    He retires on top, which is something very, very few boxers do.

    This will infuriate the Kovalev fans who are desperate, absolutely desperate for a crack at some kind of redemption. With no third fight, they're left with the shattered image of their idol being battered and destroyed.

      Figure this one may not be permanent, but we'll see.

      If a really big fight presents itself in a year or so, perhaps he'll return.

      Either way, he had a great career.

            I'm a little disappointed, nit even gonna lie, but I can't knock a fighter on calling it quits. It's a brutal sport. Definite hall of famer, and it's amazing to imagine what he could've achieved during the time off.

            I'll always appreciate him bringing out the biatch in the crybaby, and making the detractors mad.

            Enjoy retirement champ.

Ward, Kovalev, GGG, Crawford, all talented guys that couldn't sell. But let it be JCC Jr, and more PPV will be sold.

                I'm a little disappointed, but I don't blame him, like I said on another thread recently, you make as much as you can in this sport and you get out in good time,,,he's a true great and has nothing left to prove.

                  He certainly went out on top, had the best resume in boxing by far, and will be a first ballot HOF'er. Disappointed we won't get to see Ward-Stevenson and Ward-Bellew. SOG could've dominated for a couple more years at least.

                    Who gives af who owns ring,gbp doesn't control the ranking & never has. The ranking are made by mostly white gggroupies like dan Rapheal, kellerman etc from the media. And thats complete bs to claim Mexicans aren't treated like shît by those same classless racists who have a guy with 8 wins 1 loss as p4p above canelo whos the definition of a prodigy who has fought the absolute best available competition throughout his career. They have kovalev above him when kovalevs best win was against a 51 yr old ffs. Lomachenko above canelo is racism period,its no surprise u disagree as your another white fighter fan.
