The draw isnt too far fetched, the Byrd card is the issue. Good close fight I would not mind seeing again.

"Heading into the decision, oddsmakers believed Golovkin had won the fight. International sportsbooks had Golovkin as high as a -500 favorite when live betting on the bout closed.
But when the decision was announced, judge Adalaide Byrd had seen things differently. She had Alvarez an easy 118-110 winner, a stunning difference from the cards from judges Dave Moretti (115-113 Golovkin) and Don Trella (114-114). The fight was ruled a split draw.
Shortly after the decision was given, lines formed at sportsbooks, with bettors looking for refunds. Straight bets on the winner of the fight were refunded in Las Vegas. Wagers on the method-of-victory props, which included an option to bet draw, were not refunded."

Give the swing rounds to Canelo for a draw, or all of them to Golovkin for 117-111. Truth as always somewhere in the middle.
Give 1 or 2 swing rounds to Canelo (ie fairer approach) and you get to the bulk of the press row scores of 116-112 or 115-113.

If anything is turning people away from the sport it's the idea that you need to be some kind of expert to work out who won a fight. Nothing is more likely to turn the public off than being patronised and told they don't understand what they're seeing by a few self proclaimed cognescenti.
But this article is about a judge that scored the fight a draw. Is a draw really that extreme that he should be openly criticizing that judge in public?
And wtf is this quote?
"We wouldn't be hesitant about coming back to Nevada but we'd be more selective with the officials that were assigned," Loeffler said to Sky Sports. "[Byrd's] scoring system doesn't fit GGG's style, so that gives an argument not to have her involved.
This is a promoter actively talking about selecting judges to suit the style of their fighters. Is that really a positive message that fans want to hear, or that would play well with people who already think boxing is corrupt?
Edit:
Imagine Real Madrid, the NY Yankees or Dallas Cowboys saying they'll only play games where they get to select referees that will suit their teams style, or a tennis player selecting their own umpire. Is that what fans really want?

I said several times that GGG couldn't win a decision but wou tbe robbed.
Corruption Greed Money !!
Mayweather jr is Partly to blame making Boxing more about Money than Sport. Nevada is mainly the problem.
Every sane person that watched the fight gives GGG 9 to 3 or 8 to 4 rounds at the most.
Canelo Lost . GGG won. I hope GGG forgets Canelo and moves on . The people KNOW THAT HE WON AND THE PEOPLE BOOOOOOOED CANELO.
Sounds like Cotto called GGG out. Saunders called him out so he don't need Canelo, Canelo needs HIM !
At least you admit to filling out your card the day before.

All due respect but Tom said he was fine with the selection of the judges before the fight despite knowing Byrd's dodgy history in the past. He's a fine promoter but tries to be Switzerland too much and needs a bit of Arum in him. Triple G's style doesn't fit the way Byrd judges? Again, he's being nice. Throwing more, landing more and controlling the action should be judged accordingly. To his point, the draw scorecard from Don Trella is extremely suspect since he gave Canelo the 7th which GGG undisputedly won. As Steve Kim said his name should be Don WhatTheHella?
