Canelo only landed 4 more power punches but was outlanded by almost 50 punches in total. Lol at using this as your argument.
There seem to be some type of cognitive dissonance on their part. They claim you can't use Compubox to determine that Golovkin outlanded Canelo is virtually every round.
But you can use it to determine Canelo landed a fraction of a percentage more power punches.
There seem to be some type of extreme bias going on here.

Compubox Is strictly used to fit certain members agenda's. Floyd fans used compubox to justify Floyd's win over Pacquiao, yet they are now discrediting It when the numbers are In GGG'S favor.
Round by round Canelo outlanded GGG in meaningful/power punches in 7 of 12 rounds.
Canelo was conned out of a win despite putting in he hard work.
He also landed his power punches a respectable 42% of the time.
GGG landed his power punches a mediocre 32%.
That's because ggg threw more than a 100 total power punches. The power punches landed were almost identical. GGG out jabbed canelo 2-1 and landed over 50 more shots than canelo. GGG also threw over 200 more shots than canelo making him the agressor of the fight. If you're using compubox to justify a canelo victory you're embarassing yourself here.

LOL. They're using power punches to show canelo landing 41 percent when he threw 100 less. The power punches were almost identical. Canelo only landing 4 more. And then they ignore the fact ggg landed 50 more overall shots and threw over 200 more.

To be far most of these guys are probably not the best at simple math.
Mathematically the less you throw the better your chance of having a higher connect percentage but it usually only matters if you actually land more punches overall.
It's not hard to land at 40% connect rate when you throw way fewer punches, 500 a fight for an MW is really on the low side.
What I think is the funniest irony of this is, is that Golovkin for years has been accused of just being a one dimensional face first brawler with no boxing skill, and now it's trying to be argued he lost because he was jabbing more and not landing a high enough % of power punches.

Yes, the certified counter-puncher who was backing up throwing less punches landed a higher connect percentage versus a guy coming into him almost the entire fight throwing punches every moment. Who had the higher jab connect? Aren't "boxers" good at jabbing?
