If you're a fan of the sport, you want to see these fights (including GGG/Charlo, GGG/Jacobs rematch, Joshua/Wilder, Thurman/Spence, etc.). If you're a fanboy, you want to see your hero protected by avoiding the toughest challenges and winning by any means necessary (e.g., robbery). What does this say about their belief in their favorite fighter if they do not want to see him face the toughest opposition available?

So Charlo vs some other top rated WBC guy for the vacant belt if Canelo wins?

If GGG wins Charlo is now just one of many mandatories GGG owes because of all the belts. If there is a rematch GGG will fight that first. if no rematch GGG will try to unify with Saunders for the last belt WBO before he starts facing any of the many mandatories. Then there is a Jacobs rematch. Charlo could end up waiting a year or more then who knows if GGG stays at 160 he could move up to 168 or retire. If I'm Charlo I'm hoping Canelo wins because then he fights for the vacant belt his next fight. If GGG wins he is in limbo waiting a long time for a GGG title fight he has unifications, rematches and other mandatories he can and would make long before fighting Charlo.

Is the Jacobs rematch abc mandated? If its not I wouldn't suspect it takes a position above Charlo's mandatory. Jacobs is likely out of the loop for longer than Charlo. Or maybe Jacobs vs Charlo becomes some interim/regular belt or whatever secondary title fight.

Although maybe the road for Charlo will end up being fighting for the vacant title after Canelo wins or fighting for the vacate title after GGG wins & eventually gets stripped or vacates the belt.

Eh, we will have a better idea in a couple days regardless so no need to speculate that much now I suppose.

              ...
In case GGG wins, he will spin off whatever belts the sanctioning bodies would like to strip him off... Because GGG will get the Ring belt and the "lineal" title... and he will look for the Canelo rematch, and (possibly) trilogy... It's crystal clear that the big money is in Canelo fights... But now GGG has to solve a dilemma: on Saturday he must beat Canelo, but not decisively (I mean by KOing him cold or by breaking him a jaw, orbital bone, whatever...) On another hand, GGG can't afford to go too soft on Canelo, because the Mexican may get a decision... Big dilemma for GGG!

Of course, all these above turn into bullshit in case Canelo rightfully beats beats him to the punch or KOs him...

If GGG wins he gives up all his "alphabet" belts in order to rematch Canelo...

LOL they are talking rematch & Canelo has the call on that. And its a lot of f#cking money. Charlo wouldn't fight his himself, if he could, for the money GGG is getting to take this rematch. Charlo will get his chance at GGG if he's the #1 contender & they both keep winning.

Say what you will about GGG, cuz NSB dummies can dog anyone & I don't got anything against none of these mfers but I could still dog every single one of them like it was their own personal roast cuz dogging someone is some easy sh^t to do, but he's never dropped a belt & as long as an abc group doesn't push him fighting a mandatory before him getting what will likely be the biggest payday of his career, again, he won't anytime soon.

Don't see the big rush for Charlo to get a mandatory anyway. He just won the eliminator & typically guys get a year to 18mos(?) max to fight their mandatory (& sh^t longer if you got pull with the abc group).
