He definitely doesn't look like this anymore. This is more like what he looks like now:
And when you search for pictures from his old fights, whenever the camera caught him mid combination, you could see a million muscles and fibers flexing. But in recent fights, even when he throws a punch, you don't really see that definition.
I hate to say it, but as much as I like GGG, I'm starting to suspect every top boxer is on PEDs. Maybe GGG had to tone down what he was taking once he started year round VADA, while Canelo, on the other hand, completely faked this whole beef with the WBC as a way to get out of year round testing just in time to bulk up for the GGG fight. Once GGG started year round VADA, his physique and his performances started to decline, while once Canelo ditched the WBC belt, he started to immediately bulk up like a mini Mike Tyson.
Floyd, BHop, Adonis, and Rigondeaux never took VADA at all, so they've been able to maintain prime physiques and prime reflexes until their late 30s. I'm really starting to think it is that simple. They are probably all using. Lomachenko too, I'd assume.
At least if they're all using, it's an even playing field, but how could Boxing let situations happen where two boxers are fighting, and one has to test year round, and one doesn't? That means Canelo theoretically would have been able to cycle the strongest PEDs before the GGG fight, while GGG would have only been able to cycle ones that VADA couldn't detect. Huge advantage Canelo. I know haters will say I'm throwing out excuses, but I have been consistent ever since joining NSB that I just want to see even playing fields. It seems this is another fight where the opponents have not had to undergo the same testing for the year leading up to their fight, but instead they have been on different playing fields. Unless you put your fandom over the sport, I don't understand how anyone could support that.
