    The Nevada State Athletic Commission announced the officials for the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight at its meeting Monday morning in Las Vegas. The NSAC approved Nevada's Adalaide Byrd, Nevada's Dave Moretti and Connecticut's Don Trella as the judges for the 12-round fight for Golovkin's IBF, IBO and WBA middleweight titles Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. The NSAC also assigned Nevada veteran Kenny Bayless as the referee for this HBO Pay-Per-View main event between Kazakhstan's Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) and Mexico's Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs).

    Two white guys fighting in a huge fight is great for boxing fans

    Boxing wins big with Canelo and GGG two great white fighters slugging it out on PPV for the fans that matter. No matter who wins the fight boxing wins large. Commie vs the white mex is a great fight. Canelo's dad was a white American tourist who got drunk on vacation and hooked up with Canelo's mother.

      As boxings new A side when Floyd is retired you bet your life you can't win even a semi close decision against Canella go for the ko don't get shafted

        I feel like Moretti is always a questionable judge in a major fight, but I'll await the ref & judge dorks to confirm or deny my concerns about him or anyone else. Either way I think everyone goes into this fight knowing Canelo is the money guy & Canelo is the guy who's gotten some extra consideration with judges in many fights in the past so GGG & Abel need to plan out their strategy accordingly.

          I hate that Adaladie Byrd is a judge for this fight. She is nothing more than Robert Byrd's wife, so she seems to get these high profile fights, even though she is incompetent

            Golovkin just got the decision against Jacobs , in Jacob's home town.

            No excuses. Both fighter's are in their prime both are on a great wave of victories. Let the best man win by KO or Decision.

              Both are prime? One is a 35 year old pressure fighter. Nobody tops Ward with a victory here.

                Both Canelo and ggg (Jacobs) have received gift decisions in the past. But that Lara fight and that draw against Mayweather was mad crazy there is no way you can get a draw from his fight with Mayweather. So I understand ggg concern but if this fight turns into the battle it supposed to be I don't think you even have to worry about the judges with two "power punchers" fighting each other and also both have been accused of tiring at certain points in a fight so maybe either ggg or Canelo capitalizes on that moment. I'm just ready for the action!!

                  Too much too soon for the protected "good boy" Gennady. Fighting in the Bum Bracket will not prepare you for the 2 Headed Monster your about to face. Luck will not be enough Gennady.

                    When did GGG get gifted? The fight against Amari was a clear win. Gardner and Boudla fights were also clear wins. So was the Jacobs fight.
