Kovalev's last 2 Professional trainers both say he is an ******* who is incredibly difficult to work with. That pretty much says all you need to know.

it was jdj that told team ward about kovalev drinking vodka and not training hard. he also told them hes weak to the body and even more things i bet.
then ward came out and said if hes telling us all these things about his fighter imagine what he'll tell if we bring him along. jdj loves to talk and team ward capitalized on it.

Easy to say he had to quit after the first Ward fight. Boxing coaches don't make much money. You stick with a guy on his way up, making peanuts, and then pass on the biggest fight?
JDJ is speaking up after he heard that Kov is running his mouth.
He was mistreated by Kovalev. He was messed around by Ward's team. I don't believe he would do something like that to another fighter. Hell, there aren't any other fighters like Kovalev. Toney and Floyd come to mind as people I wouldn't like to deal with, but I can't think of anyone else quite as bad. He's truly giving Russian fighters a bad name.
Now the story of Golovkin stopping Kovalev with a body shot in sparring falls in its place...
Kovalev is better off with a Russian trainer who won't take any crap from him... hope both JDJ and Kovalev bounce back.

JDJ said Kovalev kept trying to cut his pay and wouldn't pay him the percentage what was told to him before the fight. I don't blame JDJ for looking to the Ward camp if they're paying. Nobody wants to get stiffed on their pay.
