Neither.
I'm not particularly a fan of either fighter, so I don't have any bias or favouritism either way.
I just hope they have a dope, competitive fight with scoring/judging that is fair and just, and that it turns out to be a wonderful spectacle for the sport.
Also, they need some dope ring girls.

canelo. i want it to be a legit victory though and not a robbery.
GGG is old, would rather see a young dominate champion we can have around for years to come. Also GGG was content to fight cab drivers most of his career. Canelo already has a solid resume and GGG will just add to that.

rooting for GGG but betting on him is a fools errand, he pretty much has to stop Canelo or drop him multiple times to even have a chance at a decision
this is what i hate the most about this sport

**** Canelo. All these catchweight contests he's been a part of have really annoyed me... 155, 164.5... I swear this guy has scientists on his team... Plus, coasting to victory against Chavez... yeah, I'm rooting for GGG

Boxing needs stars and canelo has that it factor.
Ggg is far from that and at 35 is on the way out.
Boxing needs canelo to win this.

Firstly, hoping for a great fight.
I really like Canelo's style. It's purely pro style (prefer over amateur style) with his upper body movement and angle punches. It's more Mexican style than Cuban style. I like Cuban style in Amateurs but pro boxing is a business and you have to not only win, but to entertain also.
If i had to pick one though, i would probably swing with GGG as i like his story and feel he has given his life to the sport.
Part of that is having over 350 amateur/unpaid fights compared to getting paid from day one. It's probably more difficult to win a medal at the olympics or an amateur world champion than it is an alphabet org title.
A lot of boxers, especially Cubans don't turn pro and you don't really get to pick who you fight in the amateurs... prob one reason Floyd lost 8 times as an amateur.
Also, while Canelo was getting great offers to swap promoters with GBP, GGG was getting screwed by Universum and wasted years of his prime. He went to Germany, learnt a 3rd language and ended up leaving without making a name for himself, getting denied Sturm and Sylvester fights, amongst others.
People constantly say GGG resume is sh't, but just because you don't have an elite name, doesn't mean your resume is crap. It's not like he just beat all these top 10 middle weights. He didn't sc**** through, he knocked every single one of them out and probably lost a total of 4 or 5 rounds (apart from jacobs, who he only knocked down). Unified with Lemieux without losing a single round on all 3 cards.
That it not easy to do and is impressive.
Finally, i find it hard to forgive Canelo for making me a fool. I was buzzing like anything after Canelo called GGG into the ring and told him 'Mexicans don't **** around'
I felt like an excited boy moments before his first head job/****.
THEN he let me down and handed his belt over. This p*ssed me off big time.
So there you are, long winded version of why i'm backing GGG.
WAR BOXING!!!!!!
