I think he had serious Intentions of actually retiring many years ago, but had to come back In order to continue his lifestyle. I could be wrong but why would he continue to come back for huge paydays If he didn't need the money? We know he doesn't like paying taxes and I believe this Is his 3rd or 4th retirement, so hopefully this Is It. But I wouldn't be surprised In the least to see him back In the ring In 2 years.

I did hear the taxes thing probably doesn't mean he's broke. Something about when people deal with huge amounts of money and what not, there can be some grey areas where they end up "arguing" with the IRS about how much they owe, so by not paying the amount they are told they owe right away, they can get by with paying less in the end.

He wont fight again, he wont be broke with the associates he has and bank roll he has, the curtain has come down on a fabulous career that has broken all records and will probably never be done again in your lifetime.

And the icing on the cake is history will make him a bigger legend over time than what he is now and all the hating fools will have to live with that for a very long time because they are so young, he beat all comers including haters. 50-0 live with it lol

And Im glad its over because when the dust settles and boxing moves on 90% of ******s in this forum will be gone and maybe it will be good to come here to talk boxing with people that know boxing, right now this forum is the pits for boxing knowledge.

He wasn't broke, but only an idiot would turn a ridiculous amount of money for an easy nights work. He may not have needed the money, but the richer you become the more value orientated you become. You seize any opportunity to increase your wealth. Also, the stingier you become.

It's not just the taxes, its the fact that he gambles and he does it a lot. No one who gambles that much gets away without losing huge amounts of money.

I think he will be back too. If not, he will be broke for sure.

It's interesting how Floyd haters subliminally insinuate that they are looking out for Floyd. We all know Haymon has always taken care of Floyd with financial advisory without a sweat.

Mayweather is still an important brand, and the Floyd haters have no idea that his image will only continue to grow.

They already miss him they want him back in the ring... they are in an awkward state because they care too much that others posters will befriend them on this site if they now start to like Floyd. So at the very least they insinuate some goals for Floyd again...

When he came back in 2009 he was legitly trying to improve his legacy. He was getting 30 million a fight, and he would fight once a year, then go hop on jets, go shopping, travel the world, and come back again.

Remember, when he retired after Oscar, everyone knew it was a fake retirement, and that it was only a matter of time before he came back, because he retired in his prime, and had just become a big star.

Manny Steward used to talk about how it was fake, and how he would return soon. He was fighting once or twice a yr, skipped May, on another fake retirement, came back hungry and faced Ortiz and Cotto. Then he got locked up, and came back and shocked everyone with that 6 fight contract.

Man those where the good ol days when he came back and faced Marquez. All the excitement of his return, and you had all these fights that could be made.

I will truly miss the man, and I know he cant perform anymore, but I will miss em!!!
