I think Kellerman was trying to undersell the fight by saying this would be super easy for Mayweather. As an HBO analyst and a ESPN employee he had no vested interest in the outcome of the fight. If you've watched McGregor fight you know he was a decent fighter with a respectable defense and IQ. His problem has always been his stamina. Fortunately for him, most of his fights didn't go the distance because of his striking ability. The only question was would he be even competitive against Mayweather. No one expected McGregor to win but the people that gave him no chance to win was hoping the event would fail because of their own agenda.

Mayweather would always have muscle memory in boxing which goes a much longer way than having NO pro boxing experience . Fans are mind boggled or in denial about McGregofs actual skill .The simple truth is Floyd was aware of the bigger more athletic McGregor and his counter punching would be trouble and could do little , he did not do much until McGregors fatigue set in which was his plan ,you could see a slight look of surprise on Mayweather face on his stool .
If you never boxed and dont have experiance doing so you are going to fade and it could be as simple as turning a on and off light switch . Would Mayweather look better in a rematch ? Of course but so would McGregor ,and you can't say the fight is a farce anymore . That 9th rnd McGregor body shot though , a rnd i predicted McGregor would k.o Mayweather IF he won bc i KNEW he was done after 9 ?

Floyd didn't "allow" anyone to look better, ya'll are in fuc*ing denial. The fact is, a fresh McGregor is a dangerous opponent and made all the boxing pundits who said he wouldn't even land a glove on Floyd look ******.

..keep watching and practicing boxing. One day it will all become embarrassingly apparent to you. Watch floyd's previous 49 fights to see how certain, tactically perfect and easily done the whole fight wad, he didn't come out of second gear....and that's the slowest oldest version of Mayweather to step out.
Are you yet another person who placed a lot of personal weight on Conor doing well? Dude couldn't even walk Floyd backwards in the clinch. Mayweather walked forward all night long, let Mcgregor punch himself put and took no damage in the process. It was floyd's easiest night ever, and if you ever followed Mayweather's career, you'd know he wouldn't be taking that particular unless he knew it was a dead cert.
Keep denying yourself man, Conor wasn't close to doing anything like backing up the talk. The whole event was a money making show by both guys, hype and sales.
Unfortunately some people placed their hearts in a crass money spinner.Last edited by Reverb; 08-28-2017, 04:56 PM.

It's odd that Kellerman is talking like this. My best bud and I went to the fight, and from what I saw, Floyd wasn't even trying to get out of the way of anything. He has good enough head movement that he could've slipped a good majority of those jabs, but he just kept letting him throw and stood right in front of him. He didn't shoulder roll, didn't lay on the ropes much at all. The last 7 rounds he was walking the bigger man down. I have no clue what that was about, unless he was showing him that he couldn't hurt him. That or he was absorbing jabs and little shots knowing McGregor would punch himself out? We're so used to seeing Floyd not get hit, that when he does a few times, we can't figure out why. We weren't on the floor level, so I don't know what Max saw (was he even there?), but he said only 10-12 total punches landed cleanly on Mayweather. I didn't count those little hammer fists to the back of the head. I thought McGregor did ok for 2 of the first 3 rounds, but the next 7-8 were all Mayweather, scoring wise. I respect Conor for getting in there with Floyd, but when you saw how Floyd was taking off to Miami for 5 days during training camp with his kids, going rollerskating in Vegas, spending every day the last week at his strip club to talk to fans and then you find out in the post fight presser that he couldn't even spar for the final month of training camp because of his hands, it just doesn't seem like he took the fight very seriously and he still, at 40, 11 years older, 20 pounds lighter than McGregor the day of the fight, 2 inch shorter reach, and not fighting defensively, walked a "knockout artist" down, and TKO'd him. The more I think about this fight (which needs to stop), I'm less impressed with McGregor and a little disappointed that Floyd didn't go full out in training, because you get the feeling he would've embarrassed McGregor and been a lot sharper (that lead right didn't land every time like usual, but WOW it is fast even at 40). He clearly was never worried if that's the way he handled things. Was still an awesome atmosphere and those last few rounds especially were pretty cool to see Mayweather throw those power shots. You could hear a thud. It was funny that Conor said they didn't hurt him and he was just tired, because his face was saying otherwise every time one landed. Then we go to Encore Beach at our hotel Sunday afternoon, and McGregor is there and he's taking bows and ****. Guy is a character lol.
