Rafael Marquez facing Silence Mabuza again?

This was his last opponent. Shotime has him listed to face him again on the undercard of Juan Manuel Marquez on August 5th. Why is this happening? Mabuza has won 1 fight since his TKO loss to Marquez. Doesn't make sense. Is there no one else for Rafael Marquez to face in the division?

Jhonny Gonzales issued a challenge to Rafael last week, that would be a better fight them Mabuza.

But I'm anxious to see if Raf can move up already, I don't know why he's fightin this guy again..

As I recall, Team Mabuza protested that the cuts their fighter suffered was a result of a headbutt, while the referee, Norm Budden, declared that it was inflicted by a punch. Chairman Marc Ratner of the Nevada State Atheletic Commission intervened and said, the two cuts (one on the eyebrow and another under the left eye) were from punches, but the more severe one was aggravated by a headbutt. Ratner added that had the cuts that caused the stoppage been caused by a headbutt, the fight would have been declared a, "No Contest." Officially, the fight ended as TKO4 in favor of Marquez.

At the end of the 3rd, all three judges were synoptic: they scored it 30-26 for Rafa, taking into account the first round KD suffered by Mabuza.

Last April, Mabuza faced and won by UD12 over Ricardo Vargas in what was billed as an IBF title eliminator. That W is what, I guess, is giving him the right to face Rafa again.

If you have trouble understanding this explanation, just do what I did: I just remember that we're talking here of the IBF....

i think Mabuza deserves this rematch, he looked well despite the knockdown early before the cuts surfaced
