When UFC was barely staying alive, I always thought they kept Bruce Buffer because of the Buffer name associated with his brother Michael. I always hated his style and considered him the Frank Stallone of announcing. I'm surprised the UFC kept him even when they became mainstream.

When i was at morales vs pac 1...during some of the preliminary off tv fights, he showed up and greeted michael buffer at ringside with a hug and kiss. It was kinda ***t up looking...anyway we were pretty close to them, and my friend yelled out "hey buffer brothers, get a room f@ggots". They both heard him clearly and turned and looked at him all pissed off and kept looking over all night like they wanted to do something.
