I think Savon and Levit will always be in really close fights. Just depends whose game plan works better that day.
Is there any changes to the Cuban team you would like to see after seeing this?
It's going to get really competitive with only 8 weight classes after this tournament.

I'm really curious how they will set up the weight classes.
I wouldn't mind seeing them combine 49kg and 52kg. 49kg is one of the best weight classes right now and combining it will just make it better.
I think Dusmatov and Martinez would still be the top two guys.
I'm guessing you prefer Veitia over Argilagos?
Wait what happened with Larduet?

Well Cuba Boxing is avoiding questions about Larduet, why he wasn't present at WSB against Kazahstan which cost Cuba the victory and why he is not in Hamburg even though he qualified. Something to do with the head coach Acebal for sure as he always gets in personal problems with fighters. He suspended Lazara a 3 time world champ because Lazaro dyed his hair blond, so for that he suspended him indefinitely and once they figured out Lazaro's replacement wasn't going to win them a medal they re-installed Lazaro 7 months after he was suspended.

Dusmatov is even smaller than Argilagos so it would be interesting to see how he would do at a higher weight.
We have to wait and see what AIBA will do with the weights. I can't wait, man.
That sounds like a lot of drama for what appears like nothing.
I imagine the USA will keep, or at least try to keep, Duke Ragan until the 2020 Olympics. And after these results he may stay amateur until then. I think he already said, before this tournament, that his goal was 2020.
Marc Castro, remember him, will probably replace Delante Johnson at Lightweight.
Freudis Rojas and Isley are young enough to stay in the team.
They're like 19/18.

Argilagos will be even worse because Dusmatov has somewhat of a punch, Argilagos won't be able to keep anybody off him. You're right about Veitia, in some fights he looks amazing, in others he looks so-so, he reminds of Toledo with his inconsistency. Ragan they should keep, he won against Ibanez and the Chinese guy was pretty good, the Indian guy was ok I guess. It will be a close fight against Yeraliev, I don't think Ragan takes it based on his close fight with Ibanez and if I remember correctly Yeraliev didn't have much trouble with Ibanez at WSB, but hey styles make fights and Ragan has a very good jab while Yeraliev hasn't met anybody this tournament with a good, consistent jab. Rojas I don't care for, same for Isley. Rojas got Dunaytsev robbed and Isley got Madrimov robbed. Now Knijniak is probably gonna get robbed in the final against this Kazakh guy who is horrible, he must be a converted wrestler.
Marc Castro lol
We will have to wait and see what AIBA decides to do.
Ragan beat Yeraliyev earlier this year. I expect Yeraliyev to be in better shape this time around. Should be a good fight.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Khyzhniak gets robbed in the final. He just barely escaped with a split decision somehow in the semifinals. Even though he clearly won.
Same thought with Castro. To be fair to Castro though he just seems to give everybody trouble.
I've seen slick guys not being able to handle this guys style.
