It would stand to reason that he is also more comfortable in 8 oz gloves. And now he gets to wear them with seven extra pounds of comfort on his body too. This a lot more of an advantage for Mayweather than people may be able to recognize. McGregor is used to 4 oz gloves so it really doesn't make a difference for him.

Conor is known to have ko power against guys with good chins with 4 oz. gloves. Floyd just gave up of his chin protection if Conor does land. That was ******. It's a big deal.

What else were they supposed to do? Mayweather's wish is always NSAC's command.

If you have seen my earlier post then you know what potential ramifications of a glitz, any glitz this event can have based upon ******** interest. From the beginning this event being sanctioned as a boxing match by NSAC has had it's trouble, if it was an exhibition then "no ********". So the Nevada ******** Board Control allowed ******** based upon NSAC sanctioning it as a "boxing match". The gloves doesn't matter to Floyd and McG thinks it's an advantage. So after all the millions/billions bet already in this event why would NSAC change a factor that COULD effect the outcome? If ANYTHING irregular happens in this event, watch out for all the law suites and complaints from affected persons; Congressional Investigations and all.

10oz is standard for the weight. I believe that means both Canelo and De La Hoya would have to have been unless there was an exception for catchweights.

Uh oh. I hope it's not Tony Weeks.

I'd gladly support Steve Willis smiling while Floyd is pull countering Conor all night long.

The contest takes place at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds. Under the Nevada rules, any boxing match taking place above the welterweight limit of 147-pounds would require the use of 10-ounce gloves for both combatants.

the fact is..... it will make little/no difference, and is more likely to benefit Mayweather

will Mac's new 8oz gloves come fitted with a radar ?

no..... then they will not help McGregor much then will they ?

they will benefit the sharp/accurate/precise guy who will be landing plenty.....

                  you just got played, sucker

now Mayweather will have less problem keeping Mac honest
