Am I the only one who thinks that Tito would've stopped Prime Hearns at 147

If Wilfred was a natural welter or middleweight he would school hearns.
Tito beats Duran regardless...Wifred too.
Duran moved up as high as 160.....that kills your argument right there.
Tito at 147 didn't go NEAR another Champion for SEVEN years.
He didn't go near Ike Quartey...no way he'd fight Tommy.
Tito stayed in his place at WW...he kept his head down and mouth shut for nearly a DECADE!

NO WAY does Tito's wobbling ass take ANYTHING from Hearns.
Anybody that can KO Roberto Duran would kill Tito's frail ass.

He won his first 40 fights with no losses or draws. Hearns was a great fighter but he suffered early round KO losses to Hagler and Barkley with Hearns knocked completely out cold. Hearns and Trinidad were both great and probably better and stronger at 154 than 147. Either man could have KOed the other if they landed their big punches. I would make Hearns the favorite because of his great left jab and lightning bolt straight right but Trinidad would have a good chance to beat any 147 or 154 pound boxer.

I have seen this debate posted on numerous sites, and it is pretty clear that Hearns would be the favorite. But after watching a lot of their fights, I have came to the conclusion that Tito is all wrong for Hearns. Tito had great stamina and he hit just as hard if not harder. Hearns had perfect offense but his defense was pretty shaky and I think that would be his downfall against a guy like Tito. This fight would be an all out war( probably a bigger war than Hearns vs Hagler) I just don't think Hearns would be able to handle Tito's constant pressure. Who do you guys think?

You're really over looking Jose Luis Castillo who had incredible skills. It's arguable that El Cepillo was the more skilled but that's it. At the end of the day JLC won a very good and close fight so it's moot. Coming forward doesnt make a fighter any less skilled when it comes to dudes like JLC or even more so JCC.
Anyway... Hearns stop Tito imo. He's a better Tito, really.
Like If Trinidad was a pokemon hed evolve into Hearns.
Lets be real...Tito didnt REALLY beat Oscar. Oscar looked a class above. Oscar vs Tommy is a better matchup imo.Last edited by NearHypnos; 08-12-2017, 02:22 PM.

I would've loved the fight but I think tommy outclasses Tito. The hitman didn't really like bodywork and was touchable so I think Tito would have a shot
