Canelo was 20 at the time and they both said it. It's just sparring. You can't predict anything based on sparring. So all you ****ing idiots who thinks that their sparring session matters in this fight. It don't!
It'll be a great fight that either fighter can win.

Both are honest and realistic going into the fight.
At this point Canelo's big power shots are most likely on par with Golovkin's. I just think Canelo's big shots are more pronounced while GGG's are heavy and steady throughout.
I think Canelo is more dangerous in the first 4 rounds, and if those go by in a relatively uneventful way- then GGG will be more dangerous for the rest of the fight.
I wonder if GGG's team expect Canelo to come on early? If both sides were to come out round 1 with guns blazing this could easily a Hagler/Hearns kind of match up. Both guys can blast each other. I'm not sure they'll show that kind of reckless abandon though, no reason to think they would do that.
I expect fresh chin checks in both directions. This is the kind of fight that has a high probability of showing us sides of these guys (vulnerabilities) none of us have seen yet.
Can't wait for this.

I don't think Canelo is any more dangerous in the first 4 rounds than Golovkin. I think we'll know after 2 rounds how this fight is going to go.
I think Canelo would be insane to get into a Haglar/Hearns type of war. If he wins I think it is by withstanding Golovkin's fire powering and outboxing out working Golovkin. I don't see Canelo stopping Golovkin.
I'm definitely excited to see this fight because we'll learn a lot about both guys.

Even the age difference will tell that even though both fighters have grown and developed, Canelo would have to have developed as he aged from a much younger guy to an older one. Will that be enough....hard to say. Canelo should not be a sizable underdog. He can win.

But as far as them doing their work/boxing/setting up offense- I think GGG carries more power with his baseline punches.
I think Canelo is a trickier fighter though, I think he'll set better traps and do higher IQ work offensively. But if GGG can take his best shots early on and shrug it off, then Golovkin may overwhelm him.
Canelo's power in general is probably being downplayed too much, and Golovkin's boxing ability is also being downplayed a lot. I think in both cases one edges out the other, but the gaps I don't believe are as extreme as some think.

Hopefully this fight lives up to the hype and no BS decisions or drama.
The sad thing is, as good of a fight as this should be, nobody is talking about it. The only fight in the spotlight is the crapshow of Mayweather McGreggor.
